11 April 2010 at 12:29 pm #29194Pompey and Hull have already beaten us this season so I wouldn’t rely on those games for points. In fact Pompey hammered us. They have both won 6 games this season which is only 2 less than our fantastic total of 8. You still confident?
They will still be confident as they just kiss bobbys 4ss. So deluded. Bullard will be bouncing when they play us. And Pompey will turn us over. Then there will be the excuses and ‘platforms to build on’ and the next game is a cup final drivel from an overated manager who has proven time and time again just how clueless he really is.
11 April 2010 at 12:43 pm #29196There is a HUGE difference between kissing Bobby’s 4ss and just getting behind the team and manager, whatever players are put on the pitch.
You say over rated manger!
Nobody has over rated him, most accept him for what he is, a very young manager who is just starting out in his managerial career. Yes he still has a lot to learn, yes he is having a very rough time of (a bit of it because of people like you) and yes it sometimes looks a bit grim.
But if chairmen hadn’t trusted that their inexperienced managers would eventually come through, how would any manager get started?
How would Shankly, Fergusen, Moyes et al had gone on after their relatively bad starts. Nothing is going to be done with regards to staff at the club right now, so why don’t you rise above what ever is niggling away at you and get behind the team and the manager.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
11 April 2010 at 1:45 pm #29202I actually agree with most of what parakeet is saying but bloody good shout there jayt
11 April 2010 at 2:40 pm #29204Nice work JayT, great to hear a bit of positivity, but I feel the replies to the initial post have deflected away from it, I was making the point of how having repeatedly been forced to sell our better players, year after year we start each season with virtually a brand new team, and yet we’ve still managed to stay in this division, which to me is a feat in itself, forget the multis and the doom and gloomers, were staying up again this season, I see Parakeets best friend didnt take up the bet offer, when we beat Pompey, on wed thats it for me job done, 7 points in front with 4 to play, Hull and Burnley wont get any near that, but once again come the summer, I feel there will be quite a few more outs, and come Aug we wll be starting the season with another new side, but maybe thats no bad thing, as Bobby gets rid of the dead wood, might have to sell Rod Nzog, and Fig but the money generated from their sales, hopefully will be given to him to buy his players, and then and only then can we judge him as our manager, because the team will then effectively become he,s, and not being judged on Bruces cast offs , remember hes only had 2 transfer windows, to deal with and for me his best work in them has been getting rid of players who wasnt up to the task Kapo De Ridder Cho, Kingson King Edman lets hope then he makes a few inspired signings, and then judge him on hes team, but furthermore give the man a chance, its not too long ago Celtic, wanted him as their manager, looking at their current predicament I bet they wish they had got him, give the man a chance.
11 April 2010 at 4:27 pm #29210I just feel that Whelan has failed in the choice of the assistants to our young manager ! If anything he should have had staff who are capable of supporting a tyro manager like RM ! Instead we have lower league experience assistants and that is the crux of the problem in my view !
11 April 2010 at 4:40 pm #29212Surely Roberto chooses his assistants and not Whelan :?:

do you copy and paste this drival
11 April 2010 at 9:18 pm #29228Believe it or not I’m in full agreement with Jayt. It just bugs me how people cant see whats staring them in the face. This team IS poor and the majority of Bobbys signings have been championship quality at best. This season has been the most boring one in ages, can anybody name any games which have been blood and thunder rip roaring end to end games? There aren’t many. We all know Bob is a young inexperienced manager but he needs to learn quickly if we are to stay up, and I personally think its too late. Anyyone thinking 3 points are guaranteed Wednesday night is delusional.
11 April 2010 at 10:21 pm #29230Someone mentionned the fact that Grant got the “spirit and tactics” just right today. Let’s hope he doesn’t do the same on Wednesday and that RM does.
