I’ve watched a few clips of this lad play and if rumours are to be true, then we’ve got another Andy Liddell
27 August 2014 at 1:12 pm #133129Tours President Jean-Luc Ettori confirmed that talks have occurred when contacted by La Nouvelle Republique this evening:
“A provisional agreement does not mean a signing. Tours still have to reach an agreement with Wigan for the transfer. There are contacts and we are continuing discussions. The first and most important thing was that Andy (Delort) reaches an agreement with them. That has been done.”
24 goals last yr in Frech league 2 and has played for France beach football.
I can see now why we’re letting the likes of McArthur and Ramis go and bringing in these proven players like Delort and Forshaw

27 August 2014 at 3:32 pm #133136So we’re signing a bloke from the French second division?
Lovely.

He may be a blinder, as Forshaw could easily be but a blindman can see the release of big earners (proven) versus unproven cheaper options is the way we’re heading now.
In a perfect world we’d be keeping/getting all 4.28 August 2014 at 1:09 am #133156And while were at it get Bradfords James Meredith signed. How many inch perfect crosses can you put in in one game ? (Leeds cup game) . Even Holt would bury some of them

In a perfect world we’d be keeping/getting all 4.Only we don’t live in a perfect world – we live in the real one.
If that’s the way it is then that’s the way it is – we can’t go spending money that we don’t have unfortunately28 August 2014 at 3:40 pm #133183we could spend money we dont have, but then end up in the manure a la newcastle, leeds.
or we could buy premier league 30+ journeymen who have no interest/give a sh1t about the club, a la holt
or we could spend millions on players a la fulham, & get tonked every week.I say give these players a chance. They will be hungry & want to prove themselves at a higher level. We are where we are & can only afford these kind of players now im afraid.
29 August 2014 at 12:28 am #133207McCarthy and McArthur came from Hamilton which is a lower level than League One (Forshaw) or French League Two (Delort) and they proved perfectly good enough and grossed a £18M profit just a few years later.
