Another great Wembley day out had by our little crew. Great to share time with Horc1 and Kim and Hope ( who were both ratted on Satdy neet in Chorley ). A huge thanks to are Claude for driving there and back. Also great to see MartinH looking well and feeling better.
Football? Forget about that couldnt see much in the worst seats we have had at Wembley in 8 visits. But hey we were there!
League cup final next Latics.12 August 2013 at 11:52 pm #119222Another great day out watching our beloved Latics at our second home.
The match wasn’t the best we’ve witnessed, but I wasn’t expecting it to be a classic.
Our friendly at Morecambe was marginally better.
The view was as shit a view as I have ever had at a football ground and the sun and the shadow it cast didn’t help.
Our interest in the match couldn’t have been that great though as we didn’t move to better seats although there were quite a few higher up.
I wouldn’t complain if we had to go back again this season though, four times would be nice.
Good to see Martinh and the rest of the London Latics. I wonder if we convinced galactics nephews into becoming Latics fans…………….Doubtful I think.13 August 2013 at 1:53 am #119230Not sure my Liverpool supporting nephew’s will be making Wigan their second club anytime soon based on that performance, but they did support us all the way to lifting the cup, voluntarily wore my retro shirts yesterday and were disappointed with the result.
Cracking day though – great to see so many familiar faces that over the last 8 years have too often got lost in the crowd and/or been limited by which games they could afford to be part of the crowd of!

We could always do what LHL did when one Saturday morning he said to his missus that he was just nipping out for a paper.
What he didn’t tell her was that, he was nipping to Lincoln for it, and ended up at Sincil Bank watching the Latics. -
