Two more players sent off today; making five in the space of four days. Is that some kind of record ? Just listening to the radio and the discussion was whether this was purposeful by the Players, after Ince cancelled all Christmas leave a couple of weeks ago.
7 December 2013 at 6:50 pm #124501So players are deliberately getting themselves sent off because Ince has cancelled Christmas leave?
It’s a ridiculous suggestion – I don’t know why people repeat this nonsense!

Just saying what the Journos were discussing on the Blackpool match commentary. So why don’t you do one and get back to knitting some bootees for Bobby’s new baby !

You have to take note of who it is that’s repeating it, then it becomes much clearer.
9 December 2013 at 4:53 pm #124591There are reports that Sam Sodje did get himself sent off deliberately. But he claims he did it for seventy grand, not out of spite.
Sam Sodje, Akpo Sodje, DJ Campbell, Montano of Oldham and Goodison of Tranmere all reported to be helping the police with their enquiries.

Full marks LHL, not so ridiculous afterall. No smoke without fire.
You stupid boy, Barnsley.9 December 2013 at 11:03 pm #124603The allegations are that players got booked in return for substantial payments from betting syndicates.
Not to spite the manager and get a day off over Christmas.

Perhaps we can extend it into the New Year?

We used to have a shaky-head, rolly-eye animated smiley, if I recall correctly – we could do with them again at times on this board.
