I disagree, I think he’s poor positionally, as shown against Blackpool inperticular. Will get punished more against faster, better strikers ie. Drogba (as shown) Rooney, Torres.

Yes, whereas every other Premier League defender has those three in his pocket, doesn’t he?

So Alcaraz was the reason we conceeded so many first 2 games? I don’t think so pal. Kirkland was as much to blame as anyone. More to blame tbh.
That’s not my point, I’m saying he’ll get decimated by the likes of those three, and the team will be more vulnerable than others because he’s so poor positionally. So many times he’s been chasing a ball out wide unnecessarily, and the gap between him and Gohouri has been huge.
And James, where did I say that? I would say he contributed, just watch those goals back and see how bad Alcaraz’s positioning is.

If I recall correctly, your first CL article was no Pullitzer prize winner, but nobody crucified you about and gave you a bit of time to settle into it.
Duke if I remember correctly the majority of crosses /passes leading up to a goal especially against Blackpool came from the side Figs was supposed to be in as was the case against Sunderland
