If it’s true in national press today we are linked with a move for Jermaine Defoe……
10 December 2018 at 8:54 pm #173886Well he is a lovely bloke and has been a cracker in his day so why not. Trouble is if he doesn’t get any support or service while playing up top on his own is it really worth paying his wages. Another ex Mackem to join the rest.
10 December 2018 at 11:45 pm #173889Unlike Macmanaman, Vaughan, Gomez & Gibson, I’d say he’s a quality player who would add something to any side in the Championship.
Has Will Grigg got crocked, or is he simply one of those players who cannot step up a level?
11 December 2018 at 12:21 am #173891Well the bugger’sscored more than enough against us, he owes us a few if he does come …but
Wages must be a big problem (you would think)
If he’s willing to step down to the Championship wouldn’t there be a few better options open to him nearer the top of the Division
He’s 36 …..a quick direct player, but at his age he can only be getting slower ?
11 December 2018 at 3:58 am #173896Didn’t we piss on his run of a goal every game at the JJB as it was?
From Matlock to ManU

Hes been injured, but now sits proudly on the throne and rightful place of any Latics striker who knows where the goals are, on the bench and on Saturday behind Vaughan, Windass and Garner in the pecking order of the lonely striker, watching as we dont trouble Carson for 90 minutes (not that he would have done under Saturdays cicumstances).
McManaman too seems permanantly glued to the bench whilst our attacking midfield struggle to provide service to our lonely striker (not that he would have provided any service under Saturdays circumstances).11 December 2018 at 11:51 am #173898McManaman wouldnt create service for the forward in a game of unopposed. Hes garbage. Stop w@@@@@@@ him off and using ot as an excuse to slag off Cook
11 December 2018 at 10:08 pm #173919I’m sure he would cause more of a theat than a few of the ones being picked ahead of him.
12 December 2018 at 12:07 am #173924I’m sure he would cause more of a theat than a few of the ones being picked ahead of him.Not sure he would Horc Super Stu reckons he is crap so he must be.
12 December 2018 at 12:41 am #173932In Stus defence, Paul Cook seems to agree lol
12 December 2018 at 1:16 am #173935In Stus defence, Paul Cook seems to agree lolAnd seeing as we have lost 3 more than we have won then maybe Paul Cook isn’t picking the right players eh? Food for thought! ;)

So people can’t change an opinion? I thought he would be a good buy, he hasn’t been.
Your life must be hours of fun reading this board back months and months. Bet you’re one of the muppets who looks for continuity errors in tv programs.
