will be hard like every other season and we will need luck with injuries etc but if the new faces gel quickly and play to their billing we could upset a few people this time.

Yep, mainly the ones from the dark side on here.

Oh, and Dave will be on saying that whilst he had his doubts at first, in all honesty, he always knew Roberto would come good!

he plays 4-3-3 so it’s effectivly 1 up-front becuase our 2 wingers stay holding the corner flags for most of the game.

For what its worth, I think this is the season we lose our top flight status. We were lucky last season that the teams below us were so god dam awful and cant see it hapening again. Any more of those ‘one off’ thrashings that we had last year and confidence will take a dive, especially if it happens early on in the season.

I am still not convinced by the Bob revolution but there are at least 3 teams in the Premier League worse than us.After another hard season we will be preparing for season number 7 in the Premier League next season :D :D :D

It will a completely new defensive lineup this season so why should we get thrashed?

I know its early days but

In :McArthur, Alcarez, Boselli, Stam and Al Habsi

Out : Bramble, Melchiot, Cywka, Kupisz, Kingson, Scharner

probably forgetting someone but it doesn’t look too bad………. yet.

Is that why We let so many goals in, 2 players missing, cause our keeper and defence had it hard last season,The Prem may fetch in some sort of machine that flirts the ball out the net, save time and saves our keeper doing it.   its ok playing 4-3-3 but you do need the right players to do it.lets hope this season we prove we can do it.

To everyone but us a team of untested players in the premier league only means one thing.

It might please us as fans to see lots of new signings and changes but there is also a big factor of risk that our hopes could come tumbling down.

Big respect to bobby for sticking his neck out and trying something different though. Hope it all pays off.

I can see this season will be a lot of sitting tight and hanging on to our asses XD

And last seasons defence was the same as the season before which was reasonably tight, so why should we have got thrashed so many times last year? I’d say tactics has something to do with it wouldnt you?

Its the lack of defensive midfield that is the issue, we saw this when Catermole went.

That’s what i’ve been saying for 9 months.

If Scharner’s playing in midfield, we’ve a slim chance of keeping a clean sheet because when he’s supposed to be helping out Diame in midfield, he’s on the edge of the 18 yard box.

Thanx for nothing Paul  :D
