That was a good performance. Awful decision by officials for first goal. Would have been a different game had we have got the foul on the keeper
19 March 2017 at 1:58 pm #157063Would have been a different game had bogle took his chance.
19 March 2017 at 2:16 pm #157068A good effort and the conditions and pitch didn’t help and some good performances and at last a decent attacking effort.
That said it all boils down to the same thing and that is we just are not good enough to play at this standard of football and will be most certainly relegated in about three weeks time.
All the faults were evident yesterday with the main one being our inability to score goals against better opposition defences and goalkeepers.
Bogles chance in the first half epitomised that after he had done all the hard work by rounding the keeper he couldn’t do the easy bit by just sliding he ball in and that is down to quality.im afraid because he can’t cut it at this level at the moment .
Relegation is unfortunate but I haven’t enjoyed this season one jot and at least we might see some decent football next year at a level that most of these players will be able to play at.20 March 2017 at 4:26 pm #157117That was a good performance. He thought Villa were dreadful generally but took their chances where as we didn’t. He wasn’t impressed with Bogle.
He picked our No.33 as brilliant and thought if we had 10 more of him we’d be up for promotion!!

20 March 2017 at 11:41 pm #157135What did Jacobs do wrong to deserve the title of this thread?I had him as our 2nd best performer behind Burns.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!21 March 2017 at 12:05 am #157136If everyone on the pitch played really well and we still got beat 2-0 by a poor Villa side then I can only deduce that we are not good enough for this division and at the end of the day the table doesn’t lie! We can’t keep bemoaning refereeing decisions every time we get beat! 13 home games without a goal out of 19 played has got to be some sort of record surely?
21 March 2017 at 12:20 am #157137It is Fill.
A shit record.21 March 2017 at 1:45 am #157139I must be the only person who thought we was utter shite then. This is the worst team we’ve had for over 15 years! Some of u are easily pleased that’s all I’ll say!

Just check how much they spent in the January transfer window. They beat us 2-0 because they finished 2 chances out of the 3-4 they had, we finished zilch out of the 4-5 chances we had, two of them one on ones with the keeper.
Scott Hogan, who can’t hold a regular place yet at Villa cost £15m, Bogle cost us £750k plus add ons.
I thought we showed a lot of grit and determination on saturday, you can’t bemoan a team losing when giving their all and getting done in the latter stages from goals from two players that cost £23m.
Its not been good enough this season we all know that, but talk about kicking them when they are down. FFSFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!21 March 2017 at 12:32 pm #157144Thought Jakobs was our best attacker and this thread should have been titled ‘Apart from Obertan’
One attack in the second half when Bogle was through he jogged up if he’d had ran as fast as he did when he was subbed he could have been clean through.
His total lack of effort was embarrassing and Barrow didn’t tolerate him, totally expect Giblet or Colclough to replace him now.

21 March 2017 at 2:06 pm #157147I would like to think that it was our 2 previous managers who were not good enough. The lads were playing the way they were coached, wrongly as it has transpired. It will take a game or two to adjust which obviously we haven’t got. Lets see how they do now before we destroy them and hope and believe.
