the riders in the Tour de France:
Chris Froome’s team mate ( Kiwi chap I think ) rode the entire tour with a fractured pelvis.
Another French rider crashed during the time trial ( about stage 3 ) and broke his left shoulder blade. Anyway, he soldiered on to stage 16 ( or thereabouts ) before crashing again and further fracturing the same shoulder blade.
Sick notes are not given out easily in those teams.

31 July 2013 at 11:19 pm #118579I think it is football related; it draws comparisson between football and other sports. Surely that is a fair post.
31 July 2013 at 11:20 pm #118580Not a yellow card offence. But it isn’t really football related, so I’ve moved them.
It’s not a problem – but the main forum is for totally football related items, and there’s plenty of space for discussion in the non-football for other sports.

What was the extend of this broken pelvis/shoulder blade and who reported it? I mean, it’s not like the media to exaggerate such things is it?
I’m sure David Busst and Eduardo would be less than amused to be classed as “woosies” for not soldiering on.

Maybe the question should be, are cyclists stupid to do what they do when football leads a far more lucrative and enritching life !
