The reaction to their defeat yesterday has totally disgusted me, and once again shows the game up for how it has gone.
The outcry, post their defeat yesterday, has seen many of them calling for Wenger’s head. Are they having a laugh, or what? And the fact that SKY has been going on about it this morning, with the on screen headline of:
‘Arsenal Lose League Cup Final’.
Not ‘Birmingham Win League Cup Final’, like Arsenal had a divine right to win it. And the inquest, speaking to people like Nigel Winterburn, and other ex Arsenal players. It’s a disgrace.
Birmingham won the game fair and square, by the simple fact that they scored two goals, and Arsenal only scored one. And yet I have heard not one whisper of ‘Well done Birmingham’ from the press or media. No doubt had Arsenal won, they’d have had blanket coverage all day, with their fans, probably ethnic Londoners (aren’t they always?), coming on and praising Wenger like mad, and this being followed by showing Arsenal on a victory parade.
This Premiership ‘let’s favour the big clubs’ rubbish has totally done my head in. It’ll be a breath of fresh air to actually get out of it all, to be honest. It’s gone so blatant and obvious now.
28 February 2011 at 2:14 pm #60758The Arsenal management, players & fans are the worst set in the top flight by a country mile
They rarely win with grace & they sure as hell don’t lose with it either28 February 2011 at 2:53 pm #60761It’s taken SKY until almost noon to come around to the fact that Birmingham won, and to start talking to McLeish and co about it, after a morning of moaning Arsenal people being on.

can’t stand their arrogance, and they are one of the dirtiest teams in the league and get away with it. manager always kicking off anytime anyone touches one of his players, but fails to see most of his players are dirtier.

I wouldn’t normally condone such behaviour but made me smile yesterday when one of the Birmingham players(not sure which one) on celebrating the winning goal ran past and patted Laurent Koscielny(just balls’d up) :happy-partydance: on the shoulder, to re-iterate his error.
Reap what you sow, i’m afraid, Arsenal. Exactly the kind of thing they are guilty of in the past.

Ferguson is scum, no class and shouldnt have slapped a player. Favourite story of the ex rangers captain was after winning the cup final was in a local kebab shop in Motherwell, gloating to two Celtic fans with his 3 big mates, cue 20 celtic fan mates coming round the corner and beat the absolute sh*te out of him :)

They remind me of a Theme park called ‘football’ the fans are probably the biggest bunch of plebs in football.
It does not surprise me because me the fans are soft in fact the whole club is soft and that is why they dont win anything.
We will probably go down this year(only our second ever relegation in 32 years-we are due one -no shame) however NOTHING and i mean NOTHING will ever take away the delight when we did them at the death back in April. It will stand me in good stead if some dark times lie ahead-the best result i can ever remember in my 32 years watching Latics.1 March 2011 at 12:23 pm #60861It just goes to show that if you dont score goals then all that pretty triangle passing and possession counts for fcuk all !! Capiche ! :crying-yellow:Yes fil, but the fact that we are talking about this defeat for Arsenal being such a momentous event implies that their normally, the pretty triangle passing actually counts for quite a lot.
The exception that proves the rule, maybe?
