FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
2 December 2011 at 7:10 pm #75355I have a fairly positive feeling about tomorrow, so much so that I have gone for a 1-1 draw in the CL prediction league. Not so confident that I have put any actual moeny on it though.
Hopefully the crowd will be up for it, the team will be up for it and the weather will be absolutely filthy and miserable.
COME ON WIGAN!!1
2 December 2011 at 7:49 pm #75357Similar feelings Griff. For us it’s a massive game against one of the big boys , for them it’s a game with Little Wigan in the frozen north ( hopefully ).
The one thing you can always say about the Gunners though……THEY DON’T LIKE IT UP EM !!!!
Having said that I’d still take a point.
2 December 2011 at 10:28 pm #75368It’s nice to be going into a game where we are really not expected to ger out from it.
I can sense that the pressure on the manager, players, supporters and even the Darkest of the DS’s on here has gone from state of red alert, to a feeling of calm, collected, positiveness, togetherness kind of thing. It’s amazing what one win and 3 nurps can do.
Anything we get tomoz will be a massive bonus and set us up nicely for the Baggies game and our adopted Austrian geezer with funny red glasses.

That’s why it is a better board when you are sober….
Bob…..do we play Connor or Hugo as our attacking Centre Forward…
or is it a 4 – 3 – 3 and everyone has a go?

errrrmmm…Not exactly…We’re not expected to win games against the big teams like Arsenal but we did last season and still only managed to survive in the Premiership because of a freak result on the last day of the season. Why don’t we start games with the same urgency to win as we did when we were behind against Arsenal last season. Basing the game on keeping possession of the ball isn’t the way to win games or entertain the fans which has been my gripe since Martinez took over. I don’t have a problem with watching a losing side as long as I can see they’re trying to win the game to their best abilities. I’m sure the players currently at the club are good enough to win and entertain in more games but I feel they’re being stifled by the managers’s tactics.

Well Micky…Just hope we do put on a good attacking show tomorrow, and win or lose we can look back and say we couldn’t have given any more. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to say that enough over the last couple of seasons.
So COME ON LATICS…GET THAT BALL FORWARD.
3 December 2011 at 11:38 am #75404We have to get amongst them from the start, if we sit back and let Arsenal play it could be any score. But as someone wrote in an earlier post they don’t like it up um.
COME ON WIGAN.

Have you any idea how Bosley is fishing, I might go piking tomorrow.
3 December 2011 at 2:32 pm #75409Mr Micky…..Can I just say that ex season ticket holder and I are not the same person.
Whilst I have taken the time to log on, personally I think we will try and play Arsenal at their own game today and get thumped.
I don’t really care if I am a lightsider or a darksider, that’s just my feeling about what will happen in the game. Nobody expects us to get anything out of this sort of game, despite what happened last season. What we need to do is get points from games we are expected to get points in, and we don’t do that yet.
I only lurk on here these days as the site has regressed into a group of middle aged blokes who should know better slagging each other off with childish personal jibes and insults. It’s a sad thing to see.
BTW if i’ve made any spelling or grammatical errors I don’t want to know.
Crack on boys and tight lines Mr Arkwright.
Up the Tics!
