Ashton Athletic host their annual charity match between their Veterans side and a Wigan Athletic Past Players select at Brocstedes Park this coming Friday 19th April.
As usual the teams will compete for the Peter Caterall Memorial Trophy and a host of former Latics favourites are expected to turn up for the game, which of course takes place at the end of a momentous week for all Latics fans having seen their side reach the FA Cup last weekend.
In the past former Latics stars Kevin Langley, Neil Rimmer and David Glenn have pulled on the famous blue and white and last year it was former Latics ace David Lowe’s hat trick that saw them win 5-1, in front of a bumper crowd.
Kick Off is at 7pm, admission prices are £3.50 adults, £1 concessions and a Licensed Bar is open throughout and after the game. All proceeds raised from the evening will be donated to Hope School in Wigan.
