Jasmi to sell club asset to pay wages
Looks like might be ground
If true its away games only for me20 March 2023 at 11:54 am #198889IF they are selling the ground then IMO it will be to a third party.
This COULD be an FFP thing in which they sell the ground to themselves and then WAFC pay a small rental fee as opposed to the normal costs. Similar to how it ran before in all honesty. Until the new owners, WAFC never legally owned the stadium.

If true its away games only for me[/quoteIf it’s Pollard, I’m with you Bickymon; only away games and will not put a single penny into that stadium.
What worries me more is how do the players and staff get paid next month and the month after !
This total mess will do untold damage to the club; since with such a poor track record how are we expected to retain or buy a good standard of players. We might as well be a pub team !Absolutely gutted and disgusted.

Isn’t that what rugby fans are being criticised for? ;)

I suspect the sale would bring enough money in to pay the wages until the end of the season and then we would let everyone go and start afresh with smaller wages and probably a few years in the lower echelons of League One.
20 March 2023 at 12:26 pm #198893Spot on Lostock I would not put a penny in if pollard ran the stadium
20 March 2023 at 12:36 pm #198894Won’t happen don’t worry. He didn’t want to buy it for £2m he isn’t buying it now.
It would look quite nice with all red seats though.
20 March 2023 at 12:46 pm #198896I’ve been saying it all along, it’s the ground that’s the problem. The running of it and maintenance cost are sky rocketing.
So Jasmi will try and sell it but let’s face it who to?.
Now you rugby lot might think, Lennagan will buy it. He might but he’s a business man and he will then bare the brunt of it’s running cost and put a strain on the already losing money rugby league.Like I said before, this ain’t a building that can simply change its usage say from a shop to a dwelling, this is a sports stadium and nothing more. If it isn’t used for sport then I’m afraid we’re fcuked and Jasmi will pull the plug.
As fans we cannot trust anyone not a soul. For me the council need to step in and save both codes. Fcuk me, we can find money to do the fcukin roads again that they’ve screwed up, new markets when there’s no shops, and any other mad cap scheme.
They should buy it and charge both codes rent Man City and West ham do it and no doubt others so why not us ??. This would safe guard both codes for the near future.
Let’s see what Nandy has to say to that, not fcukin much I reckon. She’d probably would like it spent on the Asda mad cap roadabout and cycle lanes you can’t ride in up town cause every fcuker walks in um

If true its away games only for meI thought he said asset not club asset meaning it could be other business ventures not directly Latics assets
20 March 2023 at 2:05 pm #198899My apologies it does say club assets, I thought it might of meant he was liquidating a part of his non existent empire and use it to prop us up

If true its away games only for meWhich will result in the football club receiving less income and having to further rely on an owner to fund the shortfall.
20 March 2023 at 2:29 pm #198901Won’t happen don’t worry. He didn’t want to buy it for £2m he isn’t buying it now.

It’d look even better with no seats behind the goals so fans can stand.
20 March 2023 at 5:17 pm #198906He might buy it but when he sees the overheads, staff, electric, pitch heating cost, ground maintenance plus who owns all the catering the how much rent we’d pay thats if were still here then 5 months a year through winter the grounds stood empty to the elements but still needs looking after I’m sure Lennagans gang will say fcuk that no thanks I’m losing enough
20 March 2023 at 5:20 pm #198908Could be the training ground, i.e. perfect land for housing !
We could then train at Robin Park, on a freebie from the council.Who owns the Whelan’s Chippy site ?
20 March 2023 at 9:39 pm #198929Land at Christopher Park can’t be used for housing hence why it wasn’t sold last time.
20 March 2023 at 9:41 pm #198932We can’t sell the stadium to the Warriors , the fans will not let it happen.
