25 May 2012 at 12:46 am #87928Anonymousso what criteria do you have meet to be considered a big club and who are the big clubs?
Get to Wembley nine years on the trot and then lose to Sheffield Eagles
25 May 2012 at 1:04 am #87929The same person has also said they have it on good authority that Martinez will be turning the Liverpool job down over the course of the next few days.
I read the very same thing this morning in an online Daily Mirror article – hopefully the link works
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/why-roberto-martinez-is-considering-snubbing-liverpool-845865%5B/quote%5D
Interesting….I heard this on Wednesday afternoon, and it was from someone who definitely has no association with The Mirror.
I wonder if the ‘contact’ in the article is the one drip-feeding these snippets to different areas of the media? It keeps Wigan and Martinez in the papers, and, what timing it would be for news that Martinez has turned down Liverpool, Villa and WBA right in the middle of people receiving season ticket mailers.
Like Retiredfan says, this now has publicity stunt written all over it.

Agreed. And it’s good that we are keeping up with the Jones’s, media-wise, these days

Very good. I like what you did there. Didn’t let the subtlety go over my ‘ed.25 May 2012 at 3:59 pm #87986I wonder if the ‘contact’ in the article is the one drip-feeding these snippets to different areas of the media?
