“I think now the squad is really, really strong and we’ve got very good options – a lot of competition, it’s very good”.

“Now is a real test of character and a challenge we have to enjoy. Yes, it is a real fight and we will need to work really hard to stay in the Barclays Premier League, but we are going to do it with style.”
Quote – 05/03/11 after city game
“We had more corners than the home side, more possession, better possession, better chances and at the end we didn’t get anything out of the performance apart from a huge belief. And I think with performances like today, you don’t get the points straight away but you get the points long term and I’m extremely proud of the performance of the players.”

I struggle to work out exactly what he is on about he talks utter shoite. And the sooner he fooks off the better Wigan Athletic will be.

You need to look at the bigger picture, surrounding our financial situation……
…if you do, you’ll see that he’s actually doing a smashing job, and exactly what is needed for us as a club in the long term.

Financial Situation? He was allowed to spend around £10,000,000 and he wasted it on Mauro Boselli and Ronnie Stam :|

Don’t forget he spent money on Gary Chuckle and the goal machine that is DiSanto. He has spent a fortune and unlike other managers has not had his best players sold from under him. This guy is the worst manager we have ever had, how the fook can people defend him is beyond me.

Maybe I’m defending the f**kin club?
Whilst I can. Because give it a couple more seasons as we are, and everyone can go and find something else to do on a Saturday.
We’re going down, and I for one, am glad. No really, I am. I’ll go to far more away games, and will enjoy it a lot more. It’s our ideal level. Sammon will score a bagful next season.

Why would you want a good season in the championship, we could get back in the prem, and that would ruin the club, priceless :angry-banghead:
I dont know if some of these comments are on the wind up or some are so thick that they cant see the financial side of things
PSki
In your view you want the club to go the way of Pompey I assume spend a fortune on limited resources
Vat
Agree with your point of view regarding finances but I expect the club to put up a fight and stay in this league and if we go down then that address the balance on wages that we can afford

must be me, but in all my posts when have i ever said we have to spend a fortune, as a club of our side we need to get in the other clubs faces and to do this you dont need to have the most gifted of players nor the more expensive of players, like we used to have and like blackpool now, but bob is trying to make us play like arsenal which we cant do with the the players we can afford, that is why he is the wrong man for our club and the style we need to have to survive,

“Sometimes you need a bit of luck in one game and that triggers a successful run. The Premier League is an unforgiving place and football sometimes doesn’t give you what you deserve. But at the end of the season I believe it will. It is a circle. You get frustrated, then you get a chance and instead of thinking you are going to score, you think you are going to miss. Mentally we need to change that. But the dynamics are very positive and we have huge belief. It is just a matter of time before it clicks into place and we get the results our performances deserve. We don’t need nastiness. My players just need to understand how they are going to get points, which is by playing well.”
