Roberto Martinez says he will dip back into the transfer market before it closes in order to bolster his attacking options.
The Spaniard is keen to bring in a new striker with Jason Scotland poised to make his switch to Ipswich and is on the hunt for someone who could support last season’s top scorer Hugo Rodallega.
Martinez has revealed there could be some major changes at the DW Stadium in the attacking department before the transfer window closes on August 31.
“I do feel we need one or two more players in forward positions,” he added. “We are possibly a little bit lightweight – not in terms of starting the season but to carry us through until the next window in January.
“We are probably two bodies light in that position.”
