Manchester City starlet Vladimir Weiss is the latest player to be linked with a move to Wigan Athletic with City boss Roberto Mancini saying he wants the 20 year old Slovakia midfield player to go out on loan for the remainder of the season.
Sky Sports are now reporting that both the Latics and neighbours Bolton Wanderers are interested in taking the highly rated Weiss for the rest of the season with the Latics said to be the favourites to land him with the players agent, who is also his dad and national team manager excited about Roberto Martinez` playing style.

Another pretty-passing-play convert? ;)
Unless, maybe, he just likes getting scutched 9-1, not tackling and passing sideways all day:?
21 January 2010 at 6:53 pm #19049That Weiss looks like he’s going to be a really good player, Get him here!

come on now griff are you asking me to believe an old cynic like you is listening to anything reported in the media,or are you resorting to the old tried and tested modus regularly used on here. ‘if it says what you want to hear then it must be right’
i look at it this way if anybody at all who has a professional interest in football, told me it was friday 22nd.january 2010 tomorrow i would ask for a second opinion.
21 January 2010 at 8:05 pm #19058No, of course not. I don’t believe any of these rumours until I see them trotting with the shirt on. It was simply the comment made by his dad that caught my eye.
Mind you, my dad says all footballers are sissies and rugby league is the best sport in the world, so what do dads know?
On Weiss, I have only seen him play for about 5 minutes so I wouldn’t know if he’s any good or not. Alex_Wigan and JamesC are our inside-track transfer double-act.

Why is my name coming into this? Alex tries to predict things, I never have, all I have done is commented on people I wouldn’t mind coming here (after people have said their names), and said Weiss ‘looks’ good, not that he is.

griff old son it seems that the excitement about martinez and his pretty football has been replaced with being part of the ‘hoof ball harriers’ style.
