I am just wondering what is the best way to get my hands on away tickets? i live too far from the DW but I’m planning to get to a few away fixtures when i can around London and the East of England.
Any suggestions as the best way for a non season ticket holder to get away tickets?
Away tickets usually go on general sale after the season tickets, and although you might find it hard to believe, but there are usually quite a number available.
Just keep an eye on the official site, and you can book over the phone or online and they’ll send them to you.
I travel over occasionally from Ireland for games and it was my understanding you had to have a history of attending games (i.e. on club database)before you could get tickets for away games so maybe it wasn’t such a silly question??

Aussie – there’s a friendly bunch of us living in and around the London/South area that meet up regularly for southern away games. Two of our lot actually live down your neck of the woods – one in Cambridge and one in Norfolk.
If you’d like to be included in the emails that fly back and forth when we’re trying to arrange which games we’re going to (and more importantly where we’re drinking) then PM me and I’ll add you to the list. Emails will soon be flying about the cup game vs West Ham.
Now and again we also use the various ST holders in our group and those with purchase history/more time to call the ticket office to get tickets for each other so we might be able to help that way too.
Must say was a little peeved that as season ticket holders ‘ticket master’ kept saying we didn’t have the right privildges to buy tickets for the Utd game. Sent a grumpy email to the ticket office, 9 oclock next morning got a call from ticket office to say all sorted…Great service, ticketmaster
