He hasn’t taken the bull by the horns from day 1 and I think the same will happen Tuesday. His boring ,unadventurous set up screams no goals.Grigg is a good in the box finisher but Defoe wouldn’t score in Joyce’s set up.Not addressed the striker issue sufficiently and totally overloaded with midfielders who nosebleed if they get within 50yds of Grigg.Do you wonder why Grigg looks completely knobbed off ??…..Bet the teams around us don’t set up as dead as us at home. For me he’s been a crap appointment…boring the ars off me…signing a truck load of players two thirds who won’t see daylight till league 1.!!!..Look at our stats and tell me he’s getting it right.Grigg off..Bogle on sums him up .Only Morsy and Weir looked worth a cent.Time Jacobs,Perkins,Power did some bench warming. Wholesale changes needed for next week….rather go down fighting that in this insipid fashion.

Sheff Wed one shot on target one goal. We are getting more difficult to beat and he has brought in some additional firepower that he can work with over the coming weeks.

It was only right to at least give WJ the chance to build his own team and we have played just one game since the window closed, against a team who will be in the promotion fight. We certainly did enough to get something out the game, their goal being a total fluke.

Lets be patient and only get into spit dummy mode when his had time to work out his best team / formation and still not getting results.

I wouldn’t bank on it Bicky. I seem to remember a plethora of people thinking that would be the case about the Championship after relegation from the Premiership was confirmed. It’s not acceptable for a football club to hope to go down to see a few wins. You should expect and demand the very best possible from a team with no financial problems no matter how much spin is put on the club being skint. Joyce will be a good manager but i doubt it will be at Wigan Athletic. I think he has done very well in bringing in the players he has considering he was never going to get bugger all of the 7m that was made in selling the club’s best player. His hands are tied. The Whelan family doing what they do best. Suffocating the club until it goes pop.

What a big load of twaddle, give yer head a wobble lad. Only for the Whelans we would never have seen championship football never mind Premier League, two major final appearances and a major trophy.

A very clever and very elaborate business plan from Dave Whelan. It was always intended to end this way. Some fans seem to think it’s ok to substitute the clubs future for the sake of a few years at the top and a cup win. It wasn’t earned on merit. It was bought and the man who bought it always intended to take all his money back and a lot more. He doesn’t care about Wigan Athletic. You will see one day. He is a Wigan Rugby mon anyway, that’s his real passion.

Now hang on a bit, you have just proven that you are just a DW hater. A clever business plan? have a think about that again, it was the worst business plan you could ever hope to have! Sinking a load of money in a stadium that was currently only getting a few thousand fans on every fortnight, where is the revenue coming from?, And on top of that paying out daft money in order to assemble a half decent team, that in reality had no way capable of making it to the top.
Having got to the top he puts his money where is mouth is and provides his managers with enough dosh to keep the club in the top flight for 8 seasons. Just when you think he couldn’t do anymore for the club he writes off the £70m debt he is owed by the club.
Mr Dave Whelan was a multi millionaire before he bought Wigan Athletic, Wigan Athletic didn’t make Dave Whelan a millionaire.

As for his connections with Wigan Rugby, the guy just loves our Town and everything to do with it. His original plan was to have a ground share with the Latics and Orrell Rugby Union the Chubsters weren’t in the equation.

A clever business plan indeed, go and hang your head in shame. By the way have you ever paid to watch a game at the DW? if you have congratulations on contributing to the Whelans millions.

I was really pleased yesterday to see the same side that had beaten Brentford however the tactics changed and instead of having a go at Wednesday the way we did at Brentford we reverted back to playing a deeper more containing game. This did its usual thing and bit us on the arse.
Running out of time for experimenting. God knows how we are going to get out of this mess.
Thought we would have learned as a club after 2014/15.

I think that report pretty much reflected the views of the 10,500 Latics fans who were on the ground Friday night Egg. Very frustrating indeed.
