I said exactly the same thing to my mate :( To slow, and why they have him taking corners… They are either to short or to long. What does he do in training? If he is the corner taker he should be practicing taking long, short, corners 2 hours a day.

He isn’t a full back.So you shouldn’t really be surprised at this defending. He could get away with it as a left wing back as there was cover behind.

Him and Watson are the players I always cringe at when I see the teamsheet. Perch might be joining him.

I suspect that James McArthur must have tried fiddling with Owen Coyle’s daughter as I can’t think of any other reason why he can’t in this team in front of half of the midfielders that have been getting a run instead of him.

Macca-Fortune-MaloneyCoyle has too many midfielders to choose from!
McClean McArthur McCann McManaman
Beausejour Watson Gomez Maloney
Redmond Espinoza Powell Fyvie
plus others who could play in midfield – Perch, Shotton and BoyceSigned by Coyle. Coyle is still experimenting – and it could take some time.
With two games a week, they may all get a game. Some could even play in their proper position.
