Could give us a huge lift in more ways than one.
With Newcastle beating Southampton, that draw we srawped against the Saints has kept us right in touch with them. Beat Newcastle as well and life could look a whole lot brighter.
Or am I still just a bit giddy after yesterdays result and performance?
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

No your not giddy but you did miss our progress to the FA cup semi final in the next couple of games
25 February 2013 at 1:10 am #103974Oh i think we will beat them anyway, Multi million pound team not worth a jot bar Gerrard and Suarez.
2 March 2013 at 1:12 pm #104214I’ll be interested to see how Martinez approaches this game. Will he set out to give the Liverpool defence problems or try to blunt the Liverpool attack?
Suarez and Sturridge will certainly pose a threat, if they both play. I feel that Martinez will have a plan to deal with Suarez – possibly involving McCarthy. But I hope that this won’t require an extra midfield player. I’d still like to see Maloney playing behind Kone and Di Santo, especially at home.
I can see Wigan getting at least a point today – with luck it could be three. And Wigan’s luck does seem to be changing.
It’s another important day for the bottom group. It will be interesting to see how Reading get on at Everton. Southampton face QPR in a game crucial to both teams. Would a QPR win be the best result for Wigan? Aston Villa have to wait until Monday for their difficult game against Manchester City.
2 March 2013 at 3:28 pm #104218If the Reading result has gone our way then the atmosphere should be nice and relaxed and the lads can play with no pressure and let their football do the talking.
I’m confident. 2 1 Wigan.
2 March 2013 at 10:08 pm #104230Oh well these predictions are wide of the mark.
To busy fighting with ourselves & slipping over more than frickin Bambi on ice.2 March 2013 at 11:00 pm #104231I hope Dave gets rid of Martinez, the loser of the year.Anybody KNOW anyone WORSE?????????????????????
2 March 2013 at 11:31 pm #104232I hope Dave gets rid of Martinez, the loser of the year.Anybody KNOW anyone WORSE?????????????????????Go on I’ll bite. What exactly did Martinez get wrong today? His team had more shots on goal than Liverpool & but for some outstanding save from Reina it could very well have been a different tale.
Some shocking defending/keeping didn’t exactly help either.3 March 2013 at 12:18 am #104234I hope Dave gets rid of Martinez, the loser of the year.Anybody KNOW anyone WORSE?????????????????????

They cut us to pieces.
Caldwell is hopeless in a back 4. He’s fine in a 3 when he is the covering player. The gaps between him and Scharner were too big. They ran through us at will.
Caldwell and MCarthy nearly came to blows after his awful back pass.
Yes Reina made some good saves but it was a poor performance and we got what we deserved.
Nout.
Move on !!

I can see how you got mixed up, the two who actually came to blows were Boyce and McArthur, one black the other wearing a mask!
Boyce actually gives McArthur a slap running back after a ball(short pass where Boyce slips leading up to Caldwells shocking back pass) which was neither his nor McArthurs fault.
Those 2 don’t get on imo.

I always get the 2 Macs mixed up.I just saw him have a go at Caldwell after the back pass. Didn’t see Boyce slap him.

3 March 2013 at 12:40 am #104238Goodbye Wigan. Please Delete me from what used to be a great side but not now.YOU HAVE NO CHANCE.
3 March 2013 at 12:42 am #104239Guys we got beat …Liverpool looked a different side today ..I think they are moving forward under Rodgers and good for them.we will move on from this game and so will they. We will be OK and move on also.
3 March 2013 at 12:57 am #104241Wrong, we made Liverpool look good every time they came forward with our defensive and midfield set up. We were shocking, lets have it right.
Anyway, isn’t that what every side says when we beat them? Well it was true today, honestly.
