So he’s supposedly our main crosser of a ball but isn’t in the top 10 in the league? Not good.
He is in the top 10!
He’s no.2, just behind Jarvis who cost West Ham more than £10 million.
And he’s way ahead of the next best, Baines, Valencia and Bale – all very expensive players.[/quote]
I’m presuming he meant in the table at the bottom which shows the accuracy which is why I commented that Lambert was top. Admittedly he isn’t in the bottom list either which is a good thing I suppose.
Whilst you could blame Beausejour for crosses not being accurate, how many good crosses has he put in that nobody has attacked?
Our team makes space for him.
Id expect him to find somebody from the positions he crosses from.
He does deserve credit for getting into those positions but he could still give more.
Hes good enough for our team but I would like to see somebody come through to challenge his position or we buy another vercitile player who could also play there.
I think that we are in agreement that Scharner had a poor game on Saturday. However, he was repeatedly exposed by the Norwich attack – and Snodgrass is hardly Gareth Bale.
The right hand side of Wigan – McManaman, Boyce and Scharner – proved far more vulnerable than the left – Maloney, Beausejour and Figueroa. Two specific comments on this site are that Beausejour can’t tackle and that Figueroa wanders out of position. Well, they must be doing something right.
Posters believe that they can both be easily replaced. Yes, they could be replaced, but better players would cost a lot of money. Wigan’s scouting system cannot always produce a bargain replacement on demand. And paying a lot of money doesn’t guarantee success – just look at Boselli.
