Well, the lack of him….
What is the history between Becks and Peirce, there doesn’t seem to be any love lost.
I can imagine Lord Coe and Co working out how much moeny they have lost due to not having their star involved.
Though I can see it from their point of view, and from the stance that he was quite integral in winning the bid in the first place.

We cant have the sporting establishment missing out on a high in their careers can we. Beckham should bow out gracefully and stop putting a shadow over these game, which are meant to be for sporting prowess not how many people want to see Becks.

Yes well done Mr Pearce dont pick a guy who has busted his guts to help these Isles get the games but pick a guy who is at the end of his career and wouldnt play in any of his countrys friendlys coz he couldnt be arsed and pick another guy who refused to go on the standby list for his country in a major international tournament.Real candidates eh?

Fergie saw right through Brand Beckham and it would appear that there are no flies on SP either !At the end of the day fil its all bollox anyway the Olympics were always the amateur games till the Yanks started putting the dream team in and the Ruskies similar with hockey.It was much better before professionals were allowed to compete.Who picked Pearce anyway? surely all the home F A,s should have been involved.
