i’ll try and simplify
marrakech and essaouira are both in morrocco, filmoss was asking about morrocco.
i try to go where there are not many english, and we don’t do beaches.
I talk to, work with, drink with, etc etc. english people for most of the year, i’ve not got a problem with that at all, we just enjoy meeting and talking with people from other countries every now and then (there were not many english in marrakech and virtually none in essaouira), this may not suit other people.
We get bored just lying on the beach, even though there is a very long, wide, nice beach there, we prefare to walk about around the town going in the few bars there are and drinking, we do this most days and cos its “dear as owt” we spent a chuffin fortune (7 quid a pint for draught, 3 quid a 33cl bottle of heinekin) and again this may not suit everybody.
muslim country
muslims supposedly don’t drink. hence the lack of bars, but a few of them do. most of the tourists are morroccan.
what i forgot to mention was the “cooling breeze off the atlantic” which in fact at times was a gale force “cooling breeze” but you just head into town.
but like i said i believe its different in agadere (More english and more bars serving cheaper beer)
hope this is of more help.
