Looks like he will soon be back in first team contention again, over hitting the corners & free kicks !

Stop having a go at Ben Watson.

He scored a very famous goal for us.

Have you forgotten when we played Arsenal in 2010? 0-2 with 11 min to go..what a come back Ben started…and Insomnia finished it off :cheer:

He scored another goal for us as well…wasn’t at home. Forgotten where it was. :woohoo:

OK lets cut the BS..Ben’s an average player but he scored our most important ever goal so that’ll do for me B)

That win set up the craziest last day of the season ever. Win and go down or lose and stay up were the permutations….

            We had belief….

            Manager

I bet Uwe is dreading him and Chris McCann getting fit as that will be two more problems of who to swap and change every week.

He’s probably dreading the knock on the door from Whelan telling him that he’s found this foul-mouthed bloke from Chorley who can do the job ten times better than he can.

At least with gomez gone we only have the one boo-boy now this season. I can’t wait for his return & the moment he does the one bad pass or caught in possession….

Hold on Paul, ……you make it so the Manager can’t win. He currently gets slagged off for picking certain players (especially Cowie), and yet still gets slated for making changes when other players become available (ie get fully fit)………… not to speak of the shite he gets for leaving others (Espinoza, Fyvie……even Holt !!!) out of the side.

                Who’d be a Manager eh? ……. Oh, hold on a minute ! ;)

On his day McCann would walk into any Championship side, top player who had just started to get his form back when he got injured…..Again! That Kvist is going to be an invaluable addition to our side as well, very vocal and looks the part! Once Watson and McCann are fully fit Cowie shouldn’t get a sniff in! Guy whose windows I clean is a Cardiff fan and he said he was glad to see the back of him! On the other hand he was sad to see Taylor leave and I can see why!

The Manager can win, and hopefully he will.

McCann and Watson are good enough to walk straight back in the team if fully fit, but as we all know, ability and for that matter performances seem to count for nothing as the team is changed most of the time for no apparent reason.

Roberto had his critics, but he did tend to try to play his strongest and most consistent players each week.

The only player I have critised him for leaving out this season is Grant Holt, not because I think he is a world beater but I believe playing two forwards is the best way in this league as it has been proved in the past.

Holt obviously didn’t fit into his plans and he signed Delort who may prove to be a good player in time, but he then went and dropped Riera. A week later both were dropped and all of a sudden Fortune is back in.

Now, if we have to play with one up front, then I agree with him, Fortune is probably the best at playing that role as he is stronger than the other two when played as lone strikers, but I do think a combination of two from the three would be best.

I think he will eventually get it right, but I just hope we haven’t fallen too far behind to be able to catch up.

He needs to stop changing the team just for the sake of it as the players will lose even more confidence as they will fear being dropped even if they play well.

At the end of the day it’s all personal opinion and as we all have learnt over the years there is only one persons opinion that counts.
