9 February 2014 at 4:07 pm #127043According to Rosler it was our best performance so far even tho we lost…. well I must have watched a different game today because we looked unbalanced and at times like a team that hasn’t played together.
defence was wobbly with crainey having an awful game. Boyce plays better at right back and so we were not at our best in defence. can’t believe Rosler took Gomez off and brought McCann on. It should have been the young lad mceachran or even McLean and drop crainey.
A word of advice to Rosler….Coyle tried to bullshit the fans when we played bad and we didn’t take kind to it…….However, we did like Mr Martinez’s positive spin bullshit !

10 February 2014 at 1:25 am #127075Looked to me like Huddersfield did their homework and tested Ali with a few long range efforts… Paid off in the end as I think he should have saved that one.
Chances are being created, we’re just not taking them. That said, was a little surprises at the starting 11.10 February 2014 at 1:04 pm #127087According to Rosler it was our best performance so far even tho we lost…. well I must have watched a different game today because we looked unbalanced and at times like a team that hasn’t played together.

Really, did you? I didn’t! It was obvious from his very first post-match press conferences that all he was interested in doing was giving out messages that protected his players from any kind of public criticism. Perfectly reasonable strategy, but it did mean that, as a fan, there was little point listening to them.
10 February 2014 at 1:57 pm #127093On the subject of what manager’s say publicly as opposed to what they say in the dressing room, there were 2 fellas on our transfer from Ljubljana to Maribor who work at the club on matchdays & have had access to what is said by the managers to players.
They wouldn’t give away owt confidential, but they did say that Bobby regularly used to tear strips off the players at full & half time. Proper hair dryer treatment by all accounts & then come out & publicly talk about how well they’d done.
As Griff says, it was obvious that he would rarely criticise the players in public so there was no point in listening to it. I’d imagine that Rosler is the same & so I think people need to learn again that what comes out of the manager’s mouth in a press conference isn’t neccessarily what he believes
10 February 2014 at 2:56 pm #127099…as Paul Jewell once said to me
