I will follow my team through thick and thin, I have done for over 40 years. I have not liked certain things that all the Latics managers have done, however, I have truly supported them all and have never felt so low that I’ve had to go on a football website and slag any of them off week in week out.

I don’t need an excuse to support or stick up for any Wigan Athletic manager, especially to some 2 bit cyber warriors like you three.

Wollow in your “glory” if that’s what you want to do, while the rest of us dust ourselves off and eagerly wait for the next chapter to open for the biggest little football club in the world.

@MrBrownbill – what’s your point? Did you ever think that given the budget that the club has, relegation at some point was not inevitable? If so, you are at odds with almost everybody in the world of football.

It’s true – Martinez has never signed the best players. He has then put his modest players into teams playing against Manchester United and Chelsea. What did he think would happen?

In 11 years David Moyes never won away at Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in his 44 attempts as Everton manager. In the last eight years, Wenger has not won a trophy at Arsenal. What made Martinez think he could succeed where they had failed?

Moyes never got d****d 8 and 9….or got relegated !!!Yes it was a big ask but we never improved over 4 seasons culminating in the drop.Up to you if you want to call that success !!!

We clearly progressed under Martinez because we won a trophy and made Europe. Ok we went down but I think 90% of the PL would have struggled minus their first choice back line. Man Utd struggle minus Ferdinand, Evans and Vidic.
