JR had you been on the Christmas sherry to think we were the better team? Your normally one of the few sane voice left on here nowadays amongst the usual negativity. However for once the moaners have a point. SH77 saved me typing a longer thread. Absoluty spot on post. The one thing I would add is we create one decent chance each game which always seem to fall to Windass and he always misses and always gets picked. Seen nothing in him yet to see why. 4 games now without scoring in regular play with two of those games against teams in the bottom three. That is the worry now albeit we are roughly were I would have expected us to be now. Sacking Cook would be a bad idea though as that didnt work the last two times in this division did it?
23 December 2018 at 5:30 pm #174269I do agree we must get behind Cook. Three really difficult games facing us. WBA. SWANSEA, SHEFFIELD UTD. We could after these three and a Birmingham be 12 points behind.
It is also worrying that Cooks friend Celtic, whom he wanted to be Director of Football, has had the block put on by Joe Royall. So Cook must feel threatened. Give him time bring in a pair of defenders, two attackers and we should be okay. For the immediate two games I have a fancy that Kipre, who does not impress me, should be placed up front with one of the small forwards alongside him. He is tall, ungainly and fast. He can head the ball, anywhere and boot the ball anywhere. He could become our top scorer and in the summer we could sell him for 63million!!
I would replace him in defence by Morsi and put Gibson in central midfield. Morsi and Gibson are no good alongside each other. You never know until you try.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
23 December 2018 at 8:57 pm #174271A half of what you have just had soprano please!!!!
Mind you it couldn’t be worse than yesterday23 December 2018 at 11:57 pm #174286Powell can’t lace Dack’s boots./quote]
Personally, I think that comment is Borrocks !
How often do you watch Blackburn Rovers ?
Every Week ?
Cos, I happen to work with several Blackburn fans and they think he definitely blows hot and cold. So, not that different to our opinion of Nicky Boy. Trouble is, that we follow and critique one team and one team only. He didn’t make an impression at the DW apart from a series of long range balls out to the right wing; apart from that he was innocuous. Wouldn’t do a straight swop for him in the transfer window.24 December 2018 at 3:44 am #174300I’ll put my mortgage on us staying in this league and take 20 dabs off mutty for finishing above Brentford.
I’m confident you wont be homeless come May, but not so confident you’ll be £20 richer ;)
You’re on a sticky run – sure, but you’re on a sticky run against sides who have played at this level for many years. These sides don’t have a squad of players who are struggling to make the adjustment from 3rd tier football – they are packed full of decent Championship players and/or those who couldn’t quite cut it in the premier league. You saw that in its most brutal form yesterday with the quality of finishing.
It’ll get worse before it gets better, and I cant see you getting many more points until February, but there are definitely three worse sides than Wigan Athletic in the Championship this season, and that is all you need to survive and build on.[/quote]
This coming from a Wigan rugby fan who supports Sunderland! How can anyone take that shite seriously? Passive aggressive anti Wigan football club at it’s best! You don’t fool me sunshine!
24 December 2018 at 12:23 pm #174307Weren’t you the one who pocketed a load of cash betting on his team to be relegated?
24 December 2018 at 1:46 pm #174309Rugby fan or not, he has got it spot on.
24 December 2018 at 7:05 pm #174319All about opinions.I work in Blackburn and a the ones who watch them rekon he carrys a very average side.Voted above Powell last year by his peers and 1 humongous advantage over Powell……He actually plays !!!!
24 December 2018 at 7:21 pm #174320Have any premier league clubs offered £10m for Dack or offered anything for that matter? You saw how good he was in the 90 mins he played in the 3-1 beating. Ok Powell went off early injured but probably contributed more in that 10 mins. Bradley Dack is good on the ball but does nothing off it.
Let’s see how the season pans out for both players.
I’ll continue to get behind my team and my teams players thanks very much. Happy Christmas and a happy new year to you all. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!25 December 2018 at 1:49 am #174328All about opinions.I work in Blackburn and a the ones who watch them rekon he carrys a very average side.Voted above Powell last year by his peers and 1 humongous advantage over Powell……He actually plays !!!!Very average side? They were bloody shite against us.
Average side that are miles ahead of us this season though, yet we finished ahead of them not that long ago.
What has changed for both clubs?25 December 2018 at 10:50 am #174331but there are definitely three worse sides than Wigan Athletic in the Championship this season, and that is all you need to survive and build on.
On recent form there isn’t, if your memories failing I will remind you, we lost to a side that hasn’t won at home all season and are rock bottom and he were awful
25 December 2018 at 12:12 pm #174332Sorry to burst your bubble but there are several

Blackburn are doing ok at the minute but have kept their key men fit. We haven’t.
Can we all stop hitting the panic button? We would all have taken this position (6 pts clear of the drop) at the start of the season.
25 December 2018 at 2:11 pm #174334Agreed.
Some folk are proper bed-wetters. Just because we were once in the premier league and won the FA Cup doesn’t give us a God-given right to win football matches for time and eternity.
25 December 2018 at 4:57 pm #174337Finally some sensible posts that are not dissing our club, manager and players. Thanks for seeing the bigger picture guys, some on here can’t see beyond their own fekin peckers.
