Lost 1-0, they hopefully will be worse off than we are, along with WHU and one of Wolves or Blackpool.

Here’s to two more wins to see us safe

Blackburn still have West Ham and Wolves to play in their run in. Plenty twists and turns to pan out yet.

Both of these are away though and they still also have to play Bolton and United could win the title against them

On the other hand, it is more likely that Man Utd will have the title wrapped up by the time they visit Ewood Park, and will be looking to rest several of their squad prior to a Champions League final.

They did it 2 years ago against Hull, and did it against West Ham in the last game a few years ago. In fact they have a pretty awful record in matches at the end of a season when they have nothing to play for. I wouldnt bet against both Blackburn & Blackpool taking points off Man Utd reserves in May.

You’re a little ray of sunshine aren’t you McGoose!

Sad thing is the egg chaser as a point, Utd are spineless when it comes to what happens at the other end of the table, their attitude in the WH game a few years ago was shocking!

          No – just a realist.

Whilst its not a “given” that Blackburn & Blackpool will take points off Man Utd, if I was Steve Kean or Ian Holloway, I wouldnt be sh!tting myself over the thought of having to play them in round 37 or 38.

Looking at the run-ins, I would say Blackpool, Wolves & Blackburn have the easier set of fixtures, and the latter 2 could well play out a draw on the final day to keep them both up. West Ham have the hardest run-in with 3 of the 4 games against sides who are equally desperate for points. Wigan’s run-in is almost as tricky as West Ham, but whilst 3 of the 4 games are against sides with not much to play for, Everton never go into a game half-hearted and would be the one side in the league I wouldnt want to have to play at this stage.

Whilst I hope Wigan stay up, I dont think they will, but they may well get the honour of officially sending West Ham down on 15 May.

Before the weekend I thouight that Wolves and us had the easier run ins

Stoke – Wolves tonight. Another big game at the bottom.

Stoke have won just one of their last 8 games :?
