Does anybody know why our match at Ewood is being played on a Sunday? I don’t remember seeing any announcement about a fixture change. Is it being televised?

Is it being televised? This isn’t really an answer to your question …. but I think it has always been on Sunday – at least it is down as Sunday on little fixture card they hand out at the start of the season. No idea why though.
25 January 2018 at 8:03 am #165445WAS originaly on the Sat but Burnley play I think Everton that day also. The local Plod didn’t fancy that and moved us to Sun. However if the Burnley game gets picked for Sky on the Sun we revert back to Sat game.
25 January 2018 at 11:48 am #165447More chance of us being on sky
26 January 2018 at 9:35 am #165511Looks like Burnley v Everton is on Sky but on the Sat

26 January 2018 at 6:53 pm #165522Can live with the Blackburn started at midday. But Portsmouth away on Easter Monday at 5.30pm… Not thinking of the fans there are they! Its brilliant for me. I only live 45 minutes away
This means I can now go away with the family for the bank holiday weekend, bring everybody home & then shoot off to the game in no rush.
Plus I know someone that works for Portsmouth & will be on a freebie jeebie ticket!!!Not wanting to rub it in like!! ;) ;)

Tyldesley Nr Portsmouth :P
You’ll have an idea where to park then TL.. Any tips.27 January 2018 at 1:03 am #165530It would be great for us and Paul Cook if we won at Pompey and that sealed our promotion. A bit of an early Easter for that in reality but we could be in the play offs by then which would be a great achievement on its own.
Something about Portsmouth FC that I just don’t like. Maybe it’s the going bust thing and leaving debts all over the South coast yet still coming up smelling of Roses thing. Or just the super fan image the media gives them, when in reality they’re just a huge city with a big drawing area with little competition for supporters.
Just love us to break our scoring record there.27 January 2018 at 12:33 pm #165534It would be great for us and Paul Cook if we won at Pompey and that sealed our promotion. I remember a very long coach trip back from there after being tonked 4-0 so the ground holds no joys for me, and that smelly oik with the bell supports them.
Nope. Don’t like um.27 January 2018 at 1:38 pm #165536It would be great for us and Paul Cook if we won at Pompey and that sealed our promotion. A bit of an early Easter for that in reality but we could be in the play offs by then which would be a great achievement on its own.

Nope. Don’t like um.[/quote]When we were non league gl there were 4 stadiums regularly seen on match of the day I always wanted to visit. Fratton Park, White Hart Lane , Portman Road and the Baseball Ground. As a kid back then I never thought we would ever play there so that’s probably the reason for the soft spot. The 2-0 win there in 05-06 season makes up for the previous failures.
