Was talking with a Blackburn fan on the train to London on Tuesday. He was definite that them and Shrews will get automatic and Rotherham would get through playoffs. Our fixture pile up does look a bit daunting but one game a time as the old saying goes.. Once we start to claw them games back then the picture might look rosier. If we get a point at Blackburn that will be a good result for us as they’ll be gutted not to go 9points ahead.
Shrewsbury fans are worried too if you read their forum. Terrible pitch to play on and a possible trip to Wembley on their minds. Their home form isn’t good at the moment, not won in their last three, and only won two in their last six. So maybe the jitters are beginning to creep in?
Fixture pile up won’t look as daunting if we win Sunday. Really is far and away biggest game of the season and no doubt Cook has a plan.Imo Rovers are very beatable..yes they score goals but haven’t played many defenses as competent as ours and they do leak goals .Rovers fans at work harping on about Dack this Dack that….far and away best player in league 1 !!! They’ll be loving the Venkys now over in Ewood now they’re winning a few. Now I can’t see why they think we have the stronger squad at all. They didn’t look bad at the end of last season, well better than we did and I think they have more or less the same squad plus and minus a few just like we have.

Level on points with 4 in hand would have been a much better position to be in, but either way it is still in our hands and you can’t ask for much more than that.

It’s a good point, hopefully the break we have had over the last 8 days will have done the lads a world of good.
