Moved to Monday night for Sky tv
5 April 2012 at 2:01 am #84575that could so easily be a winner stays up game
not surprised its been put on tele, its a ground weve never done well at, so with a win at anfield, and fingers crossed summat off utd for the first time, it could be another demon execorsised by winning there.
5 April 2012 at 11:41 am #84576FFS! Our last ever game away from home in the Premier League moved to a Monday friggin night.
I reckon on a Saturday at £20 a ticket we fill that end like United the other night, increasing our chances of winning imo now we’ll take 2000 tops.
Never seen us do well here and I now believe the away pub The Fernhurst has been taken over and it’s home support only, just a head up before everyone turns up 2 hrs before kick off with nowhere to drink.
5 April 2012 at 1:23 pm #84579Definitely not in our favour this move !! The game was on a Sunday originally by the way ! If we were still in with a chance of survival we would have sold out surely, I am not so sure now !
5 April 2012 at 2:42 pm #84581Not wanting to be pedantic but the game was originally set for Saturday 5/5/12.
Then it was moved to Sunday, with the proviso that if Sky wanted the game it would be Saturday lunchtime. The local Bobbies will be happier with this new arrangement.

Did we not fill that end in the FA cup when we were lower league? I remember it being quite full anyway.

I do believe we did, great days, but absolutely rank pies of memory serves, which it might not, given the state I was in!
5 April 2012 at 11:48 pm #84597Just read in the Mirror today( first positive report i have read this season) that we are 2nd favourites to survive in fron of the others and Villa! The journo predicted we will stay up with 38 points and Bolton in front of us on 44-eh?

I meant this season, if i remember correctly we took 5000 that day which still wouldnt have filled it cause it holds about 7500 if im not mistaken.
I was in the upper tier and dont remember to many empty seats, came home on the last train after a friendly chat with some locals outside of the station ;)6 April 2012 at 8:40 pm #84603FFS! Our last ever game away from home in the Premier League moved to a Monday friggin night.

We’ve already done that Scoffy remember the cup game with John Deehan in charge??? And if that game was the crunch match I believe every man and his dog would travel and that end would be filled.

I have already mentioned about the cup match above.
Even if it was a crunch game winner takes all we still won’t fill it, end of.6 April 2012 at 9:25 pm #84607FFS! Our last ever game away from home in the Premier League moved to a Monday friggin night.
