Blooming eck we’re only 5 games in and most of you have already written us off. Have you all forgotten last season so soon?

Yes we were poor yesterday and we made it easier than we should have, but Fulham are a good side who were always going to be difficult to beat. A draw was achievable and I’d have taken that, so in my mind we only dropped 1 point to a team that will be top 10 if not top 8 at the end of the season.
Had we taken one of our chances to equalise before Duff’s goal it would have probably ended 1-1.

Players-wise:

1. We missed Di Santo, but should have placed  Calum or Ryo on the wing from the start. Not enough time for them or Mauro to have enough of an impact.
2. We missed Macarthur, but rather than be on the wing Gomez should have replaced him in the centre, not Watson.
3.  Beausejour is not a different player to last year, but just hasn’t looked 100% since his injury
4. Alcaraz should be starting so that  the back 3 are back to the tried and trusted line from the end of last season

Tactics/skills-wise
1. Seems to me losing 4-0 to Utd was not fully out of the players heads
2. I think Hugo playing against us so soon was also a bit of a head-fcuk
3. Passing needs to be sharper for sure, but if your heads not in the right place, then…
4. Corners were shocking – no change there then
5. We need to be better in the air at both ends of the field.

But – back to my original point…we are only 5 games in. God knows what most of you were like when you were younger – I bet every time you failed to pull you convinced yourself you were never gonna get a shag again.
