Plenty of other teams score with one up front – so yes, it can be done.And, as far as I’m aware, we were playing 3-5-2.

We know we are poor and your right this system will not see us scoring but every time i listen to Charlie Nicholas talk about us its always in a derogatary way no matter what ala Gobney Marsh.

Moses and Di Santo.I agree, Di Santo looked less isolated today and was well supported by Moses and Beausajour who put lots of crosses in today.
Wished we’d gamble on making a run for those crosses more though.
Thought we were slightly more direct in our play and our midfield and defence looked stronger.
And, as far as I’m aware, we were playing 3-5-2.In theory that was the line up, but when you factor moses into the equation the sum total adds up to one up front, he’s slow, greedy and totally uninterested.

End of the game – yes, Moses was on the right as he replaced Stam, and Jones dropped into there when on the back foot.
For most of the game, as LMB has said, in theory it was 3-5-2, but Moses went walkabouts too often and dribbled up cul-de-sacs.
I think the idea is Moses plays a similar role to Rooney at Man Utd when he’s with Hernandez – where he’ll drop back or roam out wide, find the ball and link up with Di Santo. Unfortunately, that’s where the similarity with Rooney begins and ends.
