Obviously Roberto is favorite to take over at Goodison but I found myself today asking why.I see many reasons for Bobby to seriously think hard about it before accepting the post coz its Everton.
Firstly,Moyes is now at Old Trafford but all his backroom staff will be the same as under Sir Alex. There is no way Mike Phelan,Brian McClare and Paul Scholes and the likes will be leaving O T. So Moyes will not be taking any of his staff from Everton with him. Will this affect the new man in also being restricted in who he can take with him?
Secondly,Moyes could go back to Everton and take Baines, Fellainy and Jagielka to O T so the new Goodison gaffer has an immediate rebuild to negotiate. With little funds available I may add.
Thirdly,Imagine if Everton do lose their star players and start next season not too well then if Bobby goes and with us being relegated under him, can you see the Everton faithfull affording him the time and patience he has enjoyed with us? I think the new Everton boss should wait and see who has left the club before jumping in feet first.
Everton are a brilliant club and its baffling why no mega rich owner has showed any interest in buying out such a huge club. But if I could have a word of caution for Roberto I would just say “Wait a bit and see what happens because the great team of this season may be dismantled and you could find yourself in a whole world of pressure before next season starts”.
I doubt any of us wants Bobby to fall flat on his face if he does leave us do we? After all he has just given me the greatest day of my life.
I hope Bob fooks up right royal and Everton struggle big time. He will then see how lucky he was at Wigan when he served up 4 years of shite and the crowd stood by him. If he takes his football ideals and is as rigid with them as he was here I can’t see the scousers being as understanding.
MARTINEZ OUT and it couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.
