Martinez told the Evening Post: “I think it is quite clear we have five or six players who need to move on for different reasons, and January is the perfect time.
“We went in to this season with an already-thin squad in terms of numbers, and then we lost Marlon King which we didn’t expect, so it was always the plan in January to help the players we already have here.
“On the other hand, having assessed the situation since the summer, there are certain players who we are looking to move on.
“Some maybe need a fresh start, some maybe don’t fit in with the ideology we have at the club, and some maybe haven’t shown enough during the six months I have been here.”
I still think Bob is the one to lead us forward – as I have previously posted, I thought that there were players that needed to be dropped, but we don’t have any real backup…..

Maybe Martinez has been on this site and taken the advice on which players to let go. Bet he keeps Scotland though :)
Agree with both posts, when Bob has had enough Transfer windows and made the transfers he wants he IS the man who will take us forward, and saying players need to move on, surely Scotland should be one of them, but he wont be.
If Wigan sell N’zogbia then I for one will be one very very unpleased fan, and to be fair would fancy forming an Fc of Wigan.! :)
