i reckon he’s probly on about the fact that since the chelsea match, we havent let in more than 3, there have been no 5-0, 9-1s or any other of the horrendous results we saw last seasonThats not the kind of consistency we need. We need to win two matches in a row not avoid being beaten by ridiculous scores.
I’ll give it my all to the end of the season because there’s no point in being negative at games it’ll be counter productive. Will reassess at the end of the season.

fair point, but I think that in the last 4 games we have consistently performed quite well, deserved a win at west brom and bolton and deserved something out of the villa game.
Just my thought, maybe im wrong11 February 2011 at 1:44 pm #59110Anonymous
although i completely agree that its high time we won two on the trott!
lets hope this weekend it happens
COME ON LATICS!11 February 2011 at 1:54 pm #59115Anonymous
Here, here i think (hope) we all want the same thing.
11 February 2011 at 1:58 pm #59116i reckon he’s probly on about the fact that since the chelsea match, we havent let in more than 3, there have been no 5-0, 9-1s or any other of the horrendous results we saw last seasonbad finishing – bad luck(for our opponents) and al habsi are the reason for that not martinez
watch the spurs, everton, fulham away, arsenal away games on dvd if you think we have improved – we have the worst (or nearly) goal difference in the league god help us if we had not found this “new consistancy”
sound bites from a grade A bull s*** merchant.

I was at the arsenal match and fair point we were played off the park could have been 10 but for al habsi, but that is arsenal away what can we expect.
I saw the everton and spurs match in the pub, the everton game was a poor game which we could have won if stam had his shooting boots on at the end
also i thought we defended fantasticly against spurs and played very well and well deserved the 3 points, spurs seemed very flat that day.
al habsi did play well in both those games but so did the team you cant put them games just down to al habsi.
Didn’t see the fulham match but my understanding is that we were awful so fair point there11 February 2011 at 6:12 pm #59133MOTD did a so called funny piece at the end of their game highlights verus everton showing 14 clear misses/saves and used graphics to count them and you think that a stam miss in the 89th minute is a positive,at spurs we did defend well but they also missed a host of sitters during what was an off day for them.
as i said before god help our goal difference if this “new found consistancy” hadn’t happened.
smell the coffee people a few gushing sentiments of loyalty to the throngs isnt going to wash it with alot of folk – he needs to show something he hasnt for the previous 18 months – MANAGERIAL ABILITY

:angry-banghead:& with a bit more luck against Bolton H Newcastle A and Stoke H we would have had 3 more wins if we had taken clear cut chances / our forward players had taken easy chances just the same as our opponents in the games you mention
Or does this luck you refer to only count when its saved us a point not cost us points ? Oh yes of course it does as every single point weve gained this season has been in spite of the manager & not because of him because you cant bare to give him an ounce of credit.
11 February 2011 at 6:54 pm #59135your right i should give him more credit when he has gained us 1 point.
so here goes
2-0 up at newcastle we stop playing and invite pressure – 1point gained
1-0 up v fulham home we stop going foward and invite pressure – 1 point gained
1-1 with liverpool -ripping them to shreds then stop playing for the last 10 minutes -1 point gained
2-1 up at wba playing well and not giving them any space, cracking half time team talk and we never get the ball in their half after that end up hanging on for grim life -al habsi to the rescue again – 1 point gained.
thats 4 points he gained us their just off the top of my head so credit where it is due.
11 February 2011 at 8:18 pm #59140Why is it that when we miss chances it’s because our forwards are bad but when other teams miss against us it’s just us being lucky?
11 February 2011 at 8:32 pm #59142can none of you read or do you choose to see what you want to see ?
i said a mixture of BAD FINISHING – BAD LUCK – and AL HABSI have contributed to other teams not scoring more goals against us, in opposition to some claiming(including martinez) it is because we are “more consistant”

Loudmouth’s had his angry pills again I see and I agree with a previous poster about LMB’s lack of credit when the team play well which as been illustrated by the lack of him posting this week
No doubt he will have been working away again has he normally does when credit is due
:violence-rocket:11 February 2011 at 11:24 pm #59152Is LMB actually implying that, “stop playing” is a managerial directive? A simply incredible individual.
11 February 2011 at 11:26 pm #59153Phew! For one ghastly split-second I thought I had written “credible individual”.
11 February 2011 at 11:44 pm #59157I agree with what LMB says.
But having said that, I cannot think of any suitable replacement for Martinez. So there we are.
