he wasn’t called bottom three bob for nothing salford ;)
dont think its a case of sour grapes more of the way the 2hat left us
Yes with a big cup in the cabinet and a European tour on the horizon.[/quote]
Absolute bastard isn’t he. How dare he leave us after winning the biggest competition in English football. As well as guaranteeing 6 money making games in Europe

Not yet, but he will be to most when he takes our best players – Will you be saying he isn’t when we’re struggling in the Championship? Cant see Whelan’s war chest coming out to replace them either
Everton has no more of a war chest than we do. How many is he going to take?
Kenwright has already said Martinez has got money to spend. By this statement I doubt he means peanuts. I expect Moyes will also take Baines and/or Fellaini to Manure instilling more funds for transfers.
How do I know how many he’s going to take? How longs a piece of string?
Lets see if Baines, Jagielka and Fellainy stick around (unlike Martinez) then we may see if he is the brilliant manager Mr Whelan has always stated. The reason I no longer give a fig about him is that for 4 seasons he has preached his ideas for the direction of the club then as soon as he took us down he,s off. Many of us on here have give him total support and put up with the embarrassing results during his tenure and I feel he has let a lot of people down not trying to take us back. I truly believe it will end in tears for him at Goodison as I simply cannot see how he takes Everton any further than Moyes when the big 5 clubs will all spend big and get stronger. We all saw the reaction from the Everton fans when we beat then in the cup so what will happen when he has his trademark tonking. The Cup win will see him etched in Latics folklore for ever but it tastes less sweet now he has scarpered.

Good post Ste, I think most people feel like that about the situation.
Martinez said today “ It’s a normal assumption when a manager moves on that you think he’s going to take players with him. When you get to know a player, you get to know the person, and it’s important to bring those players along.
“I think it would be a big mistake for a club of our size just to look back at the manager’s previous teams. We’re looking at a whole range of players. World football is a big, big market, and we’re looking at players and individuals who can help our dressing room.
“That doesn’t mean that we need to go back to the previous club at all.”
sorry to dissapoint but no major conspiracy to be had here!
I am with Whelan on this one everyone has a price.
considering Maloney and mcmanaman have contracts until 2016 that price won’t be a packet of peanuts and could bank roll our promotion push.
I am amazed people are still coming to terms with the way we operate.
maybe you all started to take Martinez no need to sell our best players policy for granted?
If I were Kenwright I’d be just a little concerned about what bobby does to his defence.
Jags is a Joey average, Distin is past his best, Baines may be off to Man U and they have struggled with right backs having tried the young Irishman Coleman there for the last few games of the season.
He may sign Alcaraz and that would be a superb addition, but there will be some serious heartaches going on with the toffees before he gets them clicking. :woohoo:
Now that’s me done with Martinez and Everton until our paths meet in the EPL, come on big Dave and pull us out a guddun! :cheer:
If Martinez does come back to raid players won’t they be the same players who weren’t good enough to keep us in thee Prem playing the Martinez way?.

we won the cup in the same way as it has ever been won before. we completely deserved it and I won’t let anyone take anything away from what was a fantastic achievement.
