Is it me, or is he just trying to style out how long it’ll be before he gets the chop? If we pick up no more than 2 points in our next 2 I can see Whelan saying enough is enough.
It’s a bit like his “It’ll take at least 3 transfer windows to get the right squad together.” He bought himself 18 months through that statement.
He’s alreay extended that “give me 3 transfer windows” line & in a post match interview the other week it had changed to “in 2 years time this we are goign to be reaping the benefits of what I’m doing now”
