This is basically the same Arsenal team that destroyed us at the DW.
It’s swings and roundabouts. Are we as good as Chelsea because we drew with them?
According to the league table Standish we ain’t as good as anyone else.
Quite.
All I’m saying is, Arsenal lose to Swansea, yet Swansea could look shyte in the next game and get humped by Sunderland. That’s the way it works. It doesn’t suggest Sunderland are better than Arsenal.

True but they both spanked us and Swansea looked really good today against a decent Arsenal side.
And we drew with swansea at their place and kept a clean sheet. Does that mean we have a better defence than the gooners. This comparison milarkey is a load of bollux. Let’s get back to what I said, the league doesnt end on Jan, let’s start to panic if we are bottom with only 2 or 3 games to play.
But isnt that the norm, teams that come up play on adrenalin and no fear someone mentioned blackpool but look at hull, they where racking the points up and looked certain to stay up but looked what happened

I have a strong feeling if something isn’t done soon, we won’t need to panic with 2 or 3 games to play as we’ll already be planning our assault on the Championship title by then.

This is true but can you honestly see us putting together a good run of results with the team and tactics we have???
Am I right in thinking it is basicly the same squad of players we have now apart from Zoggy that stayed up last season with a good run of results in the second half of the season ?

Que dark side onslaight
Sorry thirty but we don’t have a player of Charlie’s quality to drag us out of the shoite this time.

I think we do Hindley. N’Zogbia used to get slated on this forum for being a waste of money, lazy, overrated etc.
He was switched from the left to the right, and lo and behold, he was a different player.
I think Moses could be every bit as good as N’Zogbia. The problem we have however is he needs time to develop, and it’s unlikely to happen this season.

But it does say that Swansea can beat the big teams and we can’t, at least so far this season. Swansea have got more points from beating Arsenal than we got for drawing with Liverpool and Chelsea.
Didn’t Bob say we are a better team without N’Zogbia and also that Di Santo was going to score the goals this season, and now it’s Hugo whose going to score the goals to keep us up. Sinclair wasn’t good enough, and now Liverpool are interested in signing him There are better managers in the Wigan Amateur League.

Sinclair wasn’t good enough when he was with us, in fact he was another player who was slated on this forum.
And not to put too finer point on it, how do you know Liverpool are signing him? It’s an internet/newspaper rumour. Bear in mind by all accounts Liverpool were also after Figueroa, N’Zogbia, Scharner, and Rodallega at some time another to name but four.

No, all it proves is Swansea could beat a big name last Saturday.
By the same token, Swansea must only be as good as Wigan as they drew with Wigan at home and, in fact, almost lost the game.
Individual results tell you jack shyte. The difference between a good team and a bad team at this level is consistency.
