        Another fantastic signing……

We do business like my cousin used to. When he was about 14, he would buy a scrambler and spend money on doing it up, spend about £150 on it or something. You’d go the following week and he would’ve swapped it for an Amstrad computer or something. Richard Branson he was not.

Not worried too much about Bogle but a couple of things Cookie has said today in the papers has me a little alarmed. Willing to work without a captain and if a good offer comes in for Sammy Morsey then Sammy Morsey will leave. Looks to me like. Cookie himself doesn’t know who will be here when the window shuts. Surely Burn is nailed on for the armband if still here.He did go on to say we are looking to build a team not a club. Not sure who will be in the squad come September.

This is another example for those that believe the window should remain closed until mid season .. causes lots of unsettlement within the squad .. .and the fans !

Given how poor we were last season I’m surprised clubs are in for these two. Power looked miles off the level of the championship whilst Bogle lacks pace and nouse. Norwich game apart he looked out of his depth. Big step up from league two but good luck to him. If they think they should be playing at a higher level and have the opportunity what can we do? Just seems odd week before start of season. No point having these players that aren’t committed to club and want to be elsewhere. How can Cook build a club around that?

Nobody really knows what cook’s “style” is, however this could be seen as a positive move, if he is looking to play on the deck, put some through balls in etc. … instead of playing “hoof” which Bogle would be suited for, looks like he’s planning to play more the style that Grigg will suit..

The slightly worrying thing about this, assuming it’s correct, is the fact the he has a style. And if it doesn’t work any changes will just be a like for like. We need to be able to use more than one style.

Or he could be being tactful rather than saying what many have said who have watched pre season “I’ve had a look and he’s shite!”

I saw nothing from him last season to worry about him leaving.

Me & HORC have been saying that since the Bobby Brown shoes era !

Well, I had this response to a post I made on a site about Latics the other day. It was from a Portsmouth fan.

“Good luck when Cook’s plan A fails”.

Make of that what you will.

Incidentally, I’m in same way of thinking as you. Why do managers stick to a certain style? Surely you should be able to adapt depending on the opposition?

                    #160729

Can you really get transfer listed for not fitting into style of play??? Then ask £800k just a taj worried if he is worth £800k then we need him.

Bit strange that both players fall out with the manager on the same day. There is more to this than the club are letting on. I would guess that Cook is a bit of a shit stirrer. Selling these two won’t do Latics any good anyway because it won’t be re-invested so how much they go for is irrelevant.

Maybe he has an attitude problem and his ego is bigger than his boots.

Probably but why come out and say he doesn’t fit style of play so he is transfer listed?
                    Then value him at £800k.

Everything is lies from players to manager to board to owner. The only thing that is constant and honest is our support and supporters. The rest make everything up to suit.
As long as they all get a big fat pay cheque then nothing else matters.
I hope they take note of the empty seats that between them they have created and prepare themselves for some Blackpoolesque protests if they continue to carve our club up.
At the moment I am so disalusioned with football and these unambitious jokers involved with our club.
