Here’s a simple solution: if you find the football on display not to your taste, or if the players are not trying hard enough, don’t go to games, and go back to supporting Wigan RL, Liverpool, Man U, Brazil or whoever it was prior to 2004.

Or, we can carry on in the same moronic way, and end up like Newcastle with the better players wanting to leave en mass and nobody of any quality wanting to sign.

We can only muster up an average gate of under twenty thousand, and those we do get through the gates boo their own team. I can see the stars of world football queuing to sign for Wigan.

so is the football on display up to “your taste” ?[/quote]

At present, no it isn’t. I can see what Martinez is trying to do, but it isn’t fully working.

Maybe I’m just a simple soul, and that’s why my range of emotions doesn’t include singing ‘You’re just a town full of p@kis’ or booing my team.

a question to the people who boo

if i came to your house while you were trying to perform,
and started booing or generally slagging you off,
would it help or hinder your performance?

    just a thought.

In the first instance, I would report them to the police, as at least one of the parties would be underage, if not both.

i sat in es3 today and from my point of view the atmosphere was really good, druumer boy did his bit,and i thought that we kept the rovers fans very quiet.on the game, draw was prob fair,we could easily have lost it,but no subs??,seems like we didnt go that extra bit ti try and win it to me. i would have roberts back last week for that carthorse that we have upfront, and yes, those streets leading to canal bridge, good god, diabolical but comical at the same time. ;)

1st half was disgraceful no ideas and players who didnt look interested its up to martinez to get the best out of players and i think that means playing them in there prefered positions, look at the difference in Hugo 2nd half when he played up front instead of on left. No i didnt boo but its up to each person if they wish to boo or not

I’ll be honest, I gave this a miss for a few reasons.

One, I haven’t been well, and with the walking conditions being damn awful (worse than Monday, in my opinion) and the sheer coldness of the day, I chose to sit in and enjoy a game of family ‘Hungry Hippo’s’, etc. I enjoyed my day.
So, I haven’t passed comment on the match, as I only have second hand versions of what happened. From the highlights I saw, we again shot ourselves in the foot with comical marking for their goal, whilst Rodallega climbed really well to grab a good headed goal. I believe we were at best ‘Patchy’ again.

I’m also missing the cup match next week, as frankly, I can’t be bothered. I am looking forward to the Villa game though. But it will be a very hard game.
