Just queued for 1 1/2 hours, with my grandson, to have his 2013 F.A Cup book signed at the D.W. Had a chat to Maloney who said he will be O.K. for Saturday. Most of them were quite chatty, except Gomez and Beausejour who had faces liked slapped arses. If ever anyone showed that they didn’t want to be there, these two did.

If ever anyone showed that they didn’t want to be there, these two did.The explanation could be they are the two players who receive most stick when they are playing, they must hear the groans and booing when they make a mistake, and you expect them to all happy and smiles when the same people booing them turn up for a book signing.
The other explanation could be is they may be just ordinary lads who are not comfortable with that type of thing, I suspect it is probably something along this line.

Correct.
Add to that English is not their first language. Never mind the Wigan broken version of it.
29 August 2013 at 8:30 pm #120101I don’t think Beausejour is fluent in English – though perhaps he should have a good understanding by now.
I don’t know about Gomez.
Under Martinez, there were a dozen Spanish speakers at Wigan, so there may not have been a great incentive to learn English. Martinez is certainly very articulate in English.

That is, in English to the Spanish speaking ones and Spanish to the English speaking ones
It was all part of RM’s master plan of speaking a common language or summat.
It also explained why the players often looked clueless in the first few minutes after the interval.
Now the players have a lecture spoken in Glaswegian, which the Jimmy Mcs aside, no one understands :woohoo:

To be fair we are building up our quota of Jimmy Macs though
