By all accounts gone to some Mexican club.
Worst signing by any manager I can remember. And I remember Leigh Jenkinson.29 June 2013 at 3:41 am #117039Agahowa?
Worst signing in my memory though has to be Pasquale Bruno – lot of hype and then 45 minutes of garbage :P

Bruno or agahowa didn’t cost £6.5 million or a further £6 million in wages.
Didn’t see ‘bobby’ knocking on the door to take him.
29 June 2013 at 4:28 am #117041Boselli not fit to lace agahowa’s boots.
Don’t remember Bruno though.29 June 2013 at 4:38 am #117042Don’t remember Bruno though. Not many people did. He played 45 minutes v Grimsby and rumour has it refused to come out second half. Never seen again.
Maybe that should be the new test – instead of “did you go to Goole Town away?”, we could have “did you see Pasquale Bruno play?” :P
29 June 2013 at 10:47 am #117046Oh god….. which test is it??? ….. I DIDNT go to goole town away, but I DO remember pasquale bruno!!
29 June 2013 at 1:43 pm #117049Ah, but did you see him play? There are only 3,548 who can say that :)
29 June 2013 at 2:38 pm #117050Ah, but did you see him play? There are only 3,548 who can say that :)Count me in – I remember seeing some footage of him trying to chin a ref when he was at Roma after he’d been sent off. I was hoping we’d get to see a bit more of that but I think even the 90yr old Brendan Ormsby impressed me more when he made his debut
29 June 2013 at 3:29 pm #117051That was the thing. Allegedly a real hard case – known in Italy as “The Animal” – and we thought we’d got a bruiser who could add a bit of fight but he didn’t seem to like the English Third Division :cheer:
29 June 2013 at 3:31 pm #117052ha- I remember him being on the pitch- not so sure about seeing him actually playing though!
29 June 2013 at 3:53 pm #117053Doesn’t every discussion about our worst ever signing come with the caveat, “worst signing ever, after Marlon King”?
29 June 2013 at 9:33 pm #117071Aghahowa was never given a chance and stuffed by everyone for missing one header against Liverpool.
Boselli was slammed up front and expected to do something he has never done before. Never given a chance.
I remember Bruno being subbed and never seeing him again then hearing the stories afterwards. Funny fella that mon. Probably turned up, Saw Springfield Park and said to himself ‘Fuck This Off’
Players like King and Scotland were woeful and WERE given a chance. They are a fair way clear of Aghahowa and Boselli.
King is the worst for me above all the Jenkinson’s and Smeets etc.
He cost 5m, We were forced to pay his 40,000 wages and were forced also to sack him. And he scored 1 goal (a penalty). In football and financial terms he scoops it for me.
30 June 2013 at 1:33 am #117081Jason Koumas 5.5 million and £35 grand a week over five years about £15 mill in total thanks Mr hutchings
30 June 2013 at 4:02 am #117085Worst signings are Marlon King and Jason Koumas by a long chalk in my opinion. Boselli played well in the earlier rounds of the FA Cup last season – including the game against West Ham.
30 June 2013 at 5:08 am #117092Koumas was a bloody good player. Something went wrong with him and it all balls’ed up. In football terms yes i agree he took a big wage but he was a wasted talent for me.
