there was a guy on talksport this afternoon, tim vickery,he`s an expert on south american football,he also lives there,i just droppd a text askin him if he thought boselli would cut it this season int prem and his answer was no.he seemed to think that when he was at estudidantes he had the best midfield in south america behind him, also somebody supporting him up front and balls flyin into the box from every angle, hence plenty goals.he is deffo not a lone striker in any form, more a penalty box sniffer in his words and if it was him he wouldnt have bought him.anybody else hear this?
26 August 2010 at 11:27 am #44184this buy reminds me of the infamous american purchase of london bridge
for those of you too young they thought they were buying tower bridge
for those low in iq – switch bridge for player
26 August 2010 at 11:54 am #44185Spoke to an Estudiantes supporter whilst on holiday in Mexico, who said that Boselli, with the correct support from midfield / another striker, will score a ‘ponful’, however he is not a lone striker. We need to play 4 4 2 to get the best out of him……
In relation to the London Bridge issue, the person (Robert P McCullough) who bought the bridge knew very well that he wasn’t getting Tower Bridge. It was taken down stone by stone and rebuilt in Arizona.
You’ve been taken in by yet another urban myth. :roll:26 August 2010 at 12:10 pm #44186I suspect he can play up front on his own or else it might have come up in conversation when we were buying him.
26 August 2010 at 12:19 pm #44187Course he can
I have it on good authority that when the silver fox was on the phone to South America (cheap deal on the phone by the way) that the line was so bad the player we were trying to buy was lost in a combination of a crackling line and translation – the guy we were supposed to buy is still banging them in down south.

26 August 2010 at 4:36 pm #44208He needs someone like Scotland up with him or we’ll never see the best of him when he plays in the Prem.
