Can’t believe some people’s attitudes towards the guy. Can you honestly say that he has been given a fair crack of the whip????? IMO the answer is definately no.

I agree, but he obviously is not happy. I looked on his Twitter page and I don’t think he was a fan of the climate before Christmas

Anyway, looks like his move will go through according to this latest report from Italy………

Genoa – Get the tones of a true story of the attacker, the South American telenovela Mauro Boselli landed yesterday in Genoa to join the Gryphon. In the evening he had come to halt by the medical staff due to a muscular problem that was supposed to hold the former Wigan for at least three weeks, but after his meeting this afternoon with Fabrizio Preziosi, Ballardini and the prosecutor in the case seems resolved. Most likely in the afternoon, the player will sign the contract until June with Genoa as soon as possible and we will make available to the coach. For a striker who comes, or so, there is one that starts today and Rudolf has left the ladies of Pegli moved to Bari in this case the formula is that the loan back to the dry base at the end season.

Hindley, I feel sorry for him. We bought him as a goal poacher, and then stuck him up front, isolated on his own. It wouldn’t have been any different if we’d had Michael Owen.
I don’t agree with Roberto’s appraisal that the loan will do him good for the Premiership, either. Two totally different leagues. A lot more slower, over there.

The fact of the matter is, he is totally and utterly a box player end of.
I remember watching him in the pre-season game at Oldham. He came on in the second half and looked so switched on in the box, twisting and turning and looked a real gem. Alright it was only Oldham, but you could see his sharpness and quick thinking. look at his youtube clips and see how he scores the majority of his goals.

In the games he has played for us, 99% of the time he has had to come 30 -40 yards out to collect the ball or see it flying over his head. You can see him looking at the defender in fear of getting clattered, rather than keeping his eye on the ball. He then more often than not loses possession.

Mr Bosselli will score goals if the wide men get balls into the box or midfield players link up with him in and around the box. If we are looking for him to do an Heskey type job and hold the ball up bringing players into the game, we, and more importantly bobby can forget it.
I’m afraid he has been more a victim of our style of play, rather than him being just cack.

The loan will do nothing for him in terms of making him a Premier League footballer, and Martinez also know this full well (I’m repeating myself from another thread here).

‘It will build up his confidence..blah blah blah’ is code for, ‘Don’t think of putting in a lowered offer for him. We’ll pretend he’s in our first team plans until we get offered an acceptable amount of money’.
