Boselli scores for wigan in sweden??? wow, never would have thought hahaha. this a sign of things to come?
16 July 2011 at 12:31 am #68552Sounds like it was a good solo goal un aw. :happy-partydance:
This could be the new signing we’ve been waiting for. Didn’t bobby loan out BW to the baggies and he came back a far better player.

Indeed you are correct :D :D
16 July 2011 at 12:43 am #68555Think we realised after a few games he wasn’t good enough. Scoring against some Swedish amateurs doesn’t change that fact. Too slow, poor movement and easily bullied. Get rid!
16 July 2011 at 12:53 am #68556And by the same token, if all the players got a run out tonight, which Bobby said they would, then the likes of Sammon, Moses, Zog, Di Santo, Macmanaman etc were not good enough on the night, to score against a bunch of swedish amateurs.??

What a journey!16 July 2011 at 1:56 am #68558Not a big fan of him but he is a prolific striker and getting capped by Argentina means he has something about him. The problem with him is he is wasted up top on his own, He would flourish with another attacker….or…………… A Wright-Phillips on the wing, We could utilise the wingers pace instead and feed the ball into his feet because he is a penalty box striker. I want us to bid for Wayne Routledge, Has pace, can finish and he can cross a decent ball. 1.5m is a bargain, even if used as a bit part player.
16 July 2011 at 2:03 am #68559I still dont think this mons been given a fair crack of the whip and there has been other players in the past,he needs to settle in,there are so many things he will have to get used to its easy for us to come on here spout off about how shit he his but lets take you away from your family put you in another country with no one you no cant speak the lingo and then start work. Bobby saw something in him and when he first came i thought all be it friendlys looked the works………………so may be just may be!!!!!!!!!!

Lets hope so Ace I really hope he can turn it round the goal he scored against Swansea in the cup shows he has class
16 July 2011 at 2:39 am #68561I first saw him at owdum in the pre-season friendly and he looked a real gem. All his good stuff was done in and around the box, not receiving balls round his throat 35 yards out with his back to goal.
I know it was only owdum :teasing-blah: , but lets see if he gets a chance. If he is still at the club come August 13th, I think we may see a different Mauro.
I would love him to be given the No. 2 jersey so we can all sing… “2 Mauro, 2 Mauro, I love yer 2 Mauro, your only a goal away” :shifty:

What a journey!16 July 2011 at 4:00 am #68562He’s a very good poacher – but to do that he needs a supply, not (as JR said) having to do it all on his own from 35 yards out.
We need Heskey. :D (and I’m only half joking)
17 July 2011 at 7:33 am #68587but lets take you away from your family put you in another country with no one you no cant speak the lingo and then start work.errmmmm! ‘Ant’ Valencia (for about three seasons ish).
then there is that cr@p captain of Man City……. can’t speak a word – two hundred grand a week – and the fo0kin captain.
aceface – not havin’ a go mate…. but that really is not a good enough excuse. FFS I (and I’m sure others here too) have lived in other countries and not being able to ‘parler’ didn’t stop me from producing/doing what I was recruited to do……. ;)
17 July 2011 at 12:19 pm #68589You’re right Micky, but not everybody can adapt easily. The history of the game is littered with failed players who couldn’t settle, for one reason or another. Think it a bit of a lame excuse myself, but it can happen

17 July 2011 at 4:39 pm #68598Not making excuses micky/griff and as you say the game is full of players that have failed. But how after a hand full of friendlys and league apperances can we say he isnt good enough, do you think he has had a good enough chance to prove himself ?

Yeah maybe, and maybe if he had played week in week out he may have done better. Maybe not.Maybe the £8k per week could have made him settle a bit quicker too, I think it would have helped me.
