Off to Sunderland according to Skysports. I can see the thinking behind Martinez who wants more well rounded players whereas Titus is rather limited with appalling distribution.
I thought Wigan could have gotten more than 1 million though.
Selling Titus for £1M is disgraceful. We should be asking for at least £6M.We never seem to get what players are worth and never make other clubs pay over the odds. Other clubs in our position will let their players go but for inflated prices (Cayhill £20M, Doyle £25M)
I agree £1m doesn’t sound like a lot, but from what I’ve read it appears he said he didn’t want to play for us anymore and is in the final year of his contract.

He will be called up for England now has left Wigan, Got to be nearer 5 million than 1 million though, we need a good solid replacement and all will be well.
All I can think is 1 slip-up/mistake and he’ll have 30k mackems on his back. He folds under pressure and they’ll not give him a chance at Sunderland. Ex Newcastle flop playing in their team won’t go down well and god help him if he costs them a goal. I just can’t see it going well for him and personally, I think Sunderland will struggle next season and Bruce will be sacked before Christmas. Titus was a fan favorite here and we never got on his back when he slipped up. He had his own song and we were even talking about an England call up. I wish him all the best if he goes.
I thought he did great for us, we’re not exactly overburdened with centre halves now are we?Not that I’m chuffed Bramble is going but we have Gohouri, Alcaraz (if the work permit comes through), Boyce, Caldwell & Amaya and I think 5 is more than enough to have on your books, 4 would probably do. 6 is too many when you have to operate with a small squad

But I’m glad he’s gone because he was a last ditch defender, he didn’t organise, he just threw himself in front of shots. I would rather clever defenders who are less of a liability.

So basically, you think he’s shyte but think we should have got millions for a player who is about to start the last year of his contract and wants to leave the club. That’s not how it works.
