I don’t see why it shouldn’t be, we are playing well in the most part, just need someone to take the initiative and score, man we create enough chances.
14 February 2010 at 8:27 pm #22691We shouldn’t be starting Scotland anymore. If we can get a few more goals we will win. Martinez will take us far.
14 February 2010 at 10:34 pm #22706Our only hope is that Moreno and Moses get starts and start scoring

Same happended against Everton too I recall. Nobody seems to be looking at the form of Hugo over the last couple of months…realise he’s playing out of position, but even so it’s not been scintillating.
Maybe we should start Scotland with either Moses or Moreno and bring Hugo on from the bench for impact?
15 February 2010 at 1:55 am #22725maybe we should go 4-4-2 like everybody except martinez thinks may work
but it wont happen until we are 2 or 3 nil down in the 86th minute

The only issue I have with this is there is no guarantee that our strikers will start scoring even if we go to 4-4-2.
Admittedly, 4-4-2 might make us a bit more solid but I wonder if Bob thinks that we would struggle even more to play an effective 4-4-2 than a 4-2-3-1.
Agree that there is an argument for giving it a go.
15 February 2010 at 4:04 pm #22771Personally, don’t think our midfield is strong enough to go to a 4-4-2. Both in retention and distribution we lack the personel to hold a competitive four man midfield.
Diame and mcCarthy are very exciting prospects but i think they are not streetwise to premier league to be left alone in the middle. Hendry in my eyes is not good enough, but seeing as he was not actually a Martinez signing. We may probably see him move to Sunderland in the summer anyway.
still think the future has potential to be very rosey though.

agreed, but games are running out and we need to start gettin goals, how much longer can we stick with js to get em? holding the ball up and being unlucky with shots isnt good enough now is it? -
