What about a CL super group:-
*Honey badger on maracas
*Standish walker on bugle
*Griff lead vocals
and JamesC as the little dancer with a pork pie hat on.

i thought there already was a “CL super group” ?

‘Bob and the Believers’ have been gigging regular this season despite the fact they are not very good at it.
Is that as opposed to The Damned, Loudmouth? ;)

:?: as a hobby?

Yes!! What else would it be? Community service?

To be fair it was in my yoof.

Oh, and in response to the super group idea – you really don’t want me singing, believe me

Should recruit Liam Gallagher. He’s a sulky c***, prone to walking off before the end of a performance.

I can’t really play anything so I’m just deciding what will look the least camp, a tambourine or a triangle.

Oh I see! Thought you were just referring to his on (and not so on) stage antics.

In all honestly, I actually quite like the idea of a Wigan band.

Sadly “Whelan’s” band that Blueview initailly referred to was not in fact the Wigan band at all. It was the Pemberton Old Brass Band based on Tunstall Lane which Whelan sponsored some years ago and it was renamed to, yep you guessed it, the JJB Brass Band.

I’m not 100% sure of their recent history and so i can’t confirm whether they are still called that but, they are a brass band and they are from Wigan…
Whelan must still sponsor them because I saw a van on Tunstall Lane the other day with “DW Brass Band” emblazoned all over it.

despite my anti martinez views i dont boo and always stop to the end *,
i even saw palacious go to all the home stands and clap and wave before going to his own supporters on sunday(how many of you superfans saw that ?)
even many who buy into the ‘martinez total football theory’ that includes some who sit in front of me and others who i ‘exchange opinions’ :o with in the bar after games ,(in fact they are always seated with drink in hand before me) have left early recently.

*i have only ever left a game early once when bellamy ripped us apart and liverpool where 0-4 up at half time a couple of years ago.

Wasn’t directed specifically at you; despite the very childish (and now tedious) anti-Spanish personal insults you throw at our manager, I never had you down as a boo-er. ;)

If we are comparing “hanging around showing/not showing appreciation” notes then I always stand in the middle of the steps clapping the Latics players off. I am well aware that I am causing an obstruction to those people who wish to leave without acknowledging the players as I do this, and it is a quite deliberate act on my part.

Sometimes I don’t wait for all the players to leave the pich because very often Scharner gets almost to the Brick before deciding to turn and leave. I think it is in his contract to be the last to leave the pitch.

On some occasions, I even clap the opposition players off though I confess I didn’t on Sunday.

if it wasnt “directed specifically at“me then why did you highlight my previous comment during your posted statement ?

oh and for the record i am anti martinez not anti spanish i have never and will never condone any racist undertones, and for that reason i will never post a race or creed connection about him again.
